Day 2. Korat to Lomsak, 12.08.24

Today we left earlier than yesterday and after some hassle we worked out how to get to the north side of Korat’s still being built motorway.

The first stop was at a wind farm off R5004, here.

After a quick lunch we stopped at Khao Phang Hoei Viewpoint, here.

Form here riding north east of R21 on R2275 up to Lomsak. A 360km ride with no rain.

Day 5. Tak Loop.

Ray and I rode to the Bhumibol Dam, here.

This was our first stop today before back tracking and riding over the mountains on R1175. We stopped for photos on route before riding past Mae Sot and continuing back to Tak. A good ride again missing the rain and over 290km.

Day 9. Mae Hong Son to Chiang Mai

Todays ride was 232km through the mountains with one stop at Doi Kiew Lom Viewpoint, here.

But most of the views were hidden by clouds.

We bypassed Pai and got caught in the rain as we arrived in Chiang Mai.

Those Bullet 500 look gorgeous, especially the chrome models. I’ve heard stories of engine vibes being an issue though, how is it for you. Shame RE stopped producing them, I have a RE 650 GT and a bullet would be a nice stable mate.

Nice ride down.

I imagine more comfy on the RE vs CT125.?

You ditched the other guys

and are heading back to P town.?

Yes the Enfield is more comfortable.

Ray was with me until Chiang Mai but decided to ride on from there.

Pattaya is my next destination, i think. 🙂
