Bhumjaithai Party Secretary-General Chaichanok Chidchob, along with the party’s executive committee, held a press conference at 5.30pm on Monday, September 2, to outline their stance on six pivotal policies. As a coalition government member, Bhumjaithai intends to propose these policies to the Pheu Thai Party.

Chaichanok disclosed that the party’s focus includes enhancing social order and public safety. The proposed measures aim to protect youth from drug trafficking, regulate entertainment venues, curb illegal gambling, and modernise relevant laws to reflect current societal needs.

Another key policy centres on financial decentralisation. Bhumjaithai advocates for local communities to have increased control over tax revenues, which would empower them to drive local development initiatives more effectively.

Education is also a top priority for Bhumjaithai. The party plans to ensure equal access to education at all levels. By incorporating modern technology, they aim to enhance learning experiences, reduce costs, and elevate educational standards across the country.

In terms of public health, the party is committed to expanding and improving clean water systems nationwide. This initiative aims to ensure public health by providing safe drinkable tap water, reducing household expenses.

The party also supports the adoption of household solar power systems. This policy would enable citizens to generate their electricity and sell any excess back to the state, promoting sustainable energy use and reducing reliance on traditional power sources.

Bhumjaithai aims to promote research and development in Thai herbal products. This includes the use of cannabis for medical and economic purposes, with the caveat of strict legal control to ensure responsible and beneficial use.

The party’s resolution was formally submitted to the Pheu Thai Party leader, who heads the government coalition, yesterday, reported Pattaya News.
