well clearly you have studied neither

1963 is when LBJ signed the civil rights bill. The Southern redneck bigots immediately fled to the GOP where they nominated Wallace in 68 and were coopted by Nixon for the win. The bigoted redneck party is still the GQP.

Too scared of the great man , they don’t want America to be great , wonder if I will be banned ( again) for saying this

  • Dems have been calling for a bullseye to be put on him and saying he's Hitler, Nazi, racist, dictator and a threat to democracy. Their hysterical inflammatory nonsense has to have something to do with

Very, close call, and all due to one especially vigiliant agent apparently.

What a way to live, even if Trump wins the presidency, how long will he survive? Kennedy was shot when he was president. Arguably if he defeats Harris the left will become even more aggressive due to being defeated.

I'm actually concerned that he won't make it to November.

Maybe CNN could put out some more nonsense about Harris leading the polls by huge margins. That might calm his opponents down a bit?

The shooter's defense will be: "I wasn't going after Trump. If I were going after Trump, or any Republican for that matter, I would have carried an elephant gun."

Hardly hyperbolic after 2 assassination attempts in 2 months.

There is a lot of new poll coverage trying to lull democrats into calm. Forget that! It is how they lost to Trump the first time and to Bush II. Both were a disaster for the country.

Two assassination attempts in two months, clearly these Democrat assasins were worried Trump may win after all. It's no wonder people like John Mearsheimer don't volunteer for office, or the great economic Nobel winners. Who would want to live like this?

One has to hand it to Trump, he again seemed very calm and unflustered by it all.

I think the Democratic candidates might have had something to do with it.

Suspected Gunman Said He Was Willing to Fight and Die in Ukraine
Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, told The New York Times in 2023 that he had traveled to Ukraine and wanted to recruit Afghan soldiers to fight there.

In a telephone interview with The New York Times in 2023, when Mr. Routh was in Washington, he spoke with a self-assuredness of a seasoned diplomat who thought his plans to support Ukraine’s war effort were sure to succeed. But he appeared to have little patience for anyone who got in his way. When an American foreign fighter seemed to talk down to him in a Facebook message he shared with The New York Times, Mr. Routh said, “he needs to be shot.”
In the interview, Mr. Routh said he was in Washington to meet with the U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, known as the Helsinki Commission “for two hours” to help push for more support for Ukraine. The commission is led by members of Congress and staffed by congressional aides. It is influential on matters of democracy and security and has been vocal in supporting Ukraine.

How simplistic. Plus there was no Civil Rights Bill in 1963.

I know one racist that opposed civil rights was Joe Bidens mentor. A Klansman too.

Yes, but that won't be happening because the only reason he's running is to get away from the law.

So basically he wanted to fight for Ukraine, but could not manage to stay hidden outside a lush golf course. He probably would have lasted 3 days against Russian troops. Poor Ukraine fantasist. I guess his freedom fighting days are over.

Totally agree.

Credit as well to the Republican support base for not retaliating. It's strange how the side labelled as the "unhinged stupid rednecks" are the ones patiently waiting to cast their vote while the "grown up, smart people" are trying to take out their main political opponent.

This time Trump  got a hole in one on the golf course , rather a hole in one ear , like last time

Simplistic but true. It does not have to be complicated, the Democrats have been the party of civil rights since the 60s and still are. Trumps mentor was Roy Cohn, he got started as a hate mongering zealot for Joe McCarthy.

That's a very good point, I regularly follow Project 3 of 7, and these rednecks talk more sense than any Democrat activist and despite having guns coming out of their ears seem far more peaceful and reasonable than the Gen Z unhinged Democrat supporters you see online.  Of course you have to close your ears when these rednecks talk about religion, but overall they seem an intelligent group. Well, Project 3 of 7 anyway.

Yep, saw that patience in full swing when you marched on the Capitol, trying to overthrow the government and overturn the election, causing the death of several people including law enforcement officers.
Gotta give it to you, instead of taking out just one guy you went for the whole lot - kudos!

Strange that. Seems to have cheated again. Seen lots of picture of his right ear after the alleged assassination attempt. Not a scratch.

Former President Donald Trump, with blood on his ear, is rushed offstage by Secret Service agents after a shooting at a rally.

Lots of folks played footsie with crazy Roy Cohn, an illustration of the congruence between lack of morality and homosexuality.

I am not a Republican. Nor did I storm the capitol.

But as a neutral observer it is interesting to see which side is trying to assassinate their opponent in the lead up to the election.

It's a shame the Democrats have lost their way now, whereas before they supported the Deplorables, the poor and the working man, now it's all bribes to the middle class and we look down on everyone else, except our billionaire donors. Of course the propensity to murder your political opponents  also appears to emanate from the left of the spectrum. So sad.

The first attempt was one of your own , that’s absolutely ignorant thinking
