Portfolio Tracking
As @scubascuba3 said, investing.com works well enough as does Google Finance. The caveat, though, is that neither will track options if that's what you're trading. -

Former Army Chief Set to Lead Neo-Conservative Party
Picture courtesy: Thai Rath Former Army Chief Apirat Kongsompong is widely speculated to head a new neo-conservative party expected to emerge soon and possibly contest the upcoming general election. This party, still unnamed, is believed to be forming with the aim of recruiting prominent retirees from high-ranking government positions over the past few years. The speculated members of this potential political force include former police chief Chakthip Chaijinda, former undersecretary for interior Chatchai Promlert, as well as Apirat himself. These individuals share close personal and professional ties with former coup leader and Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, who now leads the Ruam Thai Sang Chart party. Today, Suriyasai Takasila, Dean of Rangsit University’s College of Social Innovation, commented on the neo-conservative group. He explained that this party is mainly targeting support from government personnel, both active and retired, who may oppose the reformist People’s Party. The neo-conservative camp aims to secure a solid base amongst governmental figures and older citizens who are less inclined to support the progressive reforms championed by the increasingly popular People’s Party, noted for their appeal to younger voters, reported Thai Newsroom. In recent elections, parties like the ultra-conservative Palang Pracharath, Ruam Thai Sang Chart, and the populist Pheu Thai have struggled to compete with the People’s Party's growing influence. Suriyasai, a former activist against ex-Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, now a de facto leader of Pheu Thai, emphasised the structural gap these current parties face in combating the rising youth-driven politics. As the political landscape continues to evolve, the introduction of a new neo-conservative outfit spearheaded by notable figures like Apirat Kongsompong could mark a significant shift in the forthcoming elections, potentially reconfiguring longstanding alliances and voter bases in Thailand. -- 2024-09-19 -

Thai police shut down 21 villas on Koh Samui, foreigners evicted
Point taken. But people with this much money to spend could surely find some friendly hostel to take them in. -

TM30
Might be semantics but my wild guess is that a condo/house owner who adamantly refuses to file a TM30 for the leaseholder does so for nefarious purposes and will definitely not Hand over a copy of the Tabien Baan. As DrJack rightfully says, refusal to lodge a TM30 is one of the warning signs to NOT sign a lease with this owner same as offering contracts only in Thai, being billed fake rates for electricity rather than paying directly to MEA etc. -

Waves Destroys Homes on Libong Island: Residents Left Homeless
Residents of Mod Tanoi Village on Libong Island, Trang province, are calling for government assistance after a 4 metre high wave destroyed homes, leaving many without shelter. The high waves, measuring between 3 to 4 metres, devastated coastal homes, many of which had legal ownership documents. Of the 15 homes affected, 8 were completely destroyed, while 7 suffered partial damage. Debris and scattered belongings littered the area, with residents having been unable to evacuate all of their possessions in time. For homes partially damaged, villagers are living in fear of more waves and have begun dismantling their properties, removing roof tiles, wooden frames, doors, and windows to save materials for future use. Local officials have provided immediate assistance, bringing heavy machinery to clear the beach and using fallen trees as a temporary barrier against further damage. However, villagers fear that the waves, expected to intensify in the coming days, could cause more destruction. This latest disaster follows similar incidents in the past, with severe coastal erosion having claimed homes over the years. Anupong Temkot, a 39-year-old resident, said, "The waves today, over 3 to 4 metres high, are the strongest I've seen in over a decade. More homes are likely to collapse in the coming days as the sea level rises." He pleaded for government intervention, emphasizing, "Fire might leave us with a place to stay, but these waves take everything, our homes, our land. Many of us are forced to live with relatives or rent temporary accommodation." Another villager, Walaiporn Tingkep, 45, urged the government to provide new housing for displaced families. "Three to four families are now crammed into a single rental home. We don't know how long this can go on," she said, tearfully recounting the destruction. The estimated damage for each home ranges between 200,000 to 400,000 baht, with some villagers struggling to salvage their belongings before the waves swept through. Nattawat Taleluk, the village headman, highlighted the severity of the situation. "This is the worst destruction I've ever seen. Without intervention, this entire community could be lost to the sea within the next few years," he warned. Despite earlier promises of government funding for a seawall, no progress has been made, leaving the villagers vulnerable to future storms. With over 367 households and a population of more than 1,100 in Mod Tanoi Village, the need for long-term solutions is urgent. Villagers continue to wait for sustainable government action to prevent further erosion and provide safe living conditions. -- 2024-09-19 -

Kamala is the prelude to a Socialist Regime. The more poor to help/control, the better. Sound familiar? It's so obvious.- 1

Trump Is Finished: Rogan Just Roasted Him
With Joe, apparently it's personal for some reason. Still, it's hard to believe he will actually pull the lever for Kamala come election day when he is in the booth and nobody is watching. One very credible source has Kamala's real poll numbers at around 10% (https://usawatchdog.com/deep-state-knows-it-cannot-cheat-kamela-in-martin-armstrong/). So a bit of negativity from Joe probably won't move the needle much, if at all. -

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
Thailand is always a magnet for all sorts of shady people, especially those who were dropped a few times too often as children. That will probably never change, but I leave that to the authorities as it's none of my business and a waste of time to worry about these things. -
