Reliable Internet Service?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of a reliable DSL or ADSL service provider in the Surin Area. I have been paying ToT 1000 baht a month for at best minimal service for a year. I am absolutely sick and tired of it! In the past two weeks I have had no DNS server out of Thailand, no received email, no sent email and no response to phone calls. Today my download speed is less than 100 kbps, should be about 512 k.

For the dns problem, you could use opendns: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenDNS

I think tot has a business deal for 2700 per month, but I don't know if it's any better than the goldcyber.

Also have TOT check your inline cabling and line speed. With a bad line, even ADSL won't do the job. Though not in Surin, they came out twice

to literally show me what speed I get at the box.

Now I am pretty satisfied with TOT Basic 256 kbs and I was told that even a higher price does not necessarily guarantee a better speed. I download quite a bit, but Youtube is out of the question, at least where I live.
