Project 2025 proposes breaking up the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the parent agency for the National Weather Service, describing it as “one of the main drivers of the climate change alarm industry.”

 

Yeah, they want to eliminate NOAA and the National Hurricane Center.

And yet, according to Project 2025 — a document hundreds of pages long that lays out a policy agenda and 180-day playbook if the GOP wins the White House — NOAA needs to go. The report calls it “one of the main drivers of the climate change alarm industry and, as such, is harmful to future U.S. prosperity.”

 

Under this plan, the various parts of NOAA would be “streamlined,” downsized, broken up. The hurricane center would become the focus of increased ideological scrutiny to make sure data collected is presented “without adjustments intended to support any one side in the climate debate.” And the National Weather Service, the plan says, should be commercialized. Wonder whose cronies would benefit from that? Also, many commercial weather services use the information from the NHC and NWS to make their predictions.

This harkens back to the Tea Party.

When someone in the news says "this should be taken private"  it is usually followed by the words "And I know just the person to do it" but that part doesn't get printed. 

The entity goes private, and the owner sells the services back to the gov't for piles of money taken from tax payers.  Another way for hypocritical fake-patriots to raid the gov't coffers.  MAGA, baby!

The Heritage Foundation did not respond to an inquiry. “The people who produce and distribute it should be imprisoned. Educators and public librarians who purvey it should be classed as registered sex offenders. And telecommunications and technology firms that facilitate its spread should be shuttered.”
