Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
This was discussed a long time ago but the forum needs clicks and active participants in order to generate revenue and this is a commercial business. Given that is true, it's easier in this situation to just let one person walk away than it is to have to deal with three or four miscreants. -

Scottish Tourist on Cannabis, Suffers Hallucinations & Causes Public Disturbance: Pattaya
Coffee is a drug and really addictive, my story: I used to take a lot of coffee whole life, going a day without it I would have massive migraines. I reduced my coffee intake from 30-40g/day to just 5-10g/day. After almost a year with limited caffeine, I can now have sane days without coffee, have better sleep, and not suffer like a poor drug addict. LOL -

update of bank book after extension with 800,000 THB in the bank
Thanks. Turns out he using the fixed orange passbook; however, he uses an agent and it's the agent telling him it's a new rule. I guess I'll have to drive to Immigration and ask for myself if there's a new rule or my two letters will work come January. -

Why Are You Even Here? The Surprising Attitudes of Some Expats in Thailand
Cannot argue with that - I studied Latin at school. The English language is extremely fluid and it changes - one of the reasons it is so easy to learn and 'keep'. IMO the Thai language is a very 'spoken' language - and thus all the tonal variations and nuances that require 'experience' and also why the written structure is based on old Sanscript. English is more a written 'designed' language with only 26 letters and structured for reading by the common people - because Latin was too hard to read. Easy reading makes it a language very easy to learn - as well as the structure. Try learning Chinese - very hard with their 20,000 different main characters, of which most Chinese only know 8000. The Japanese has it down to about 50 characters with another 70 diacritics. The Thai written language has about the same I believe. I have long said that IMO Thailand should change the writing of the Thai language to the useage of English letters - like basically every other language in Europe (with agreed diacritics as required). That would make it far easier to learn and also because it would afford the opportunity to set things straight as to how Thai words are spelled. Even in the Thai sanscript, Thai words are written and spoken differently all over Thailand. It would also be a great thing for business - would make it a lot easier to create and exchange documents and contracts. -
