This hardly seems fair on the delivery rider.

Typical of many resturants in Thailand. If the customer doesn't pay the bill the owners charge the servers or the deliver drivers for the loss like its their fault somehow. That's an f'd up position as an owner to take. Staff and drivers should refuse to continue to work for owners like this.

We own a cafe' and some of our staff tried to pay for a failed customer payment from the tip jar and I flatly refused to allow them to do that and they were shocked I wasn't charging them. When I ask why I should charge them they all said it was their fault??? What a f'd up thinking they have been engrained with.
