Thanks for your comment IsaanExpat. I am in the northern tip of Buriram province and the patois here is the Laos/Thai variety whereas in Buriram town, 90 km south, it is Kimir/Thai. I will continue and try what suggest. I just went to France for a month and spoke bad French the whole time. I have not spoken French for 10 years. It has encouraged me to try a little harder with Thai even with Executive Function problems. Are you in the US now? Thanks again for your interest.🙏🏼 -

No he didnt... This is a screen shot of the video showing the driver run to get a Fire extinguisher after trying and failing to open the rear doors... By then it was probably all tragically too late. There are two specific videos doing the rounds. 1) Screen shot below is from one of the videos. 2) Another video taken from the opposite side showing the driver franticly trying to get access to the bus from the other side. The driver did flee though - but only after all attempts to rescue the kids failed. He probably feared for his life.... not a correct action at all by the way, but the manner in which the 'some-media' and people on forum are spreading this misinformation is poor form. You can get good healthcare in the PI, for very reasonable prices. Manila, of course, and Cebu City (most foreigners stay on Cebu) have very good hospitals. But even a place like Negros, where you were fųcked 10 years ago, now offers very decent care. Things are improving very fast. It helps that you can have a trusting relationship to the caregivers because they are not so obviously fleecing you as here. You are right about transport. If you live on an outlying island near Cebu, or in the sticks on Leyte - good luck. It's like Thailand 30 years ago. -

I believe George Bush senior and Obama were two of the most significant presidents in my lifetime. I might be wrong, but those two have made a greater impact on me than how they performed in their role as a President. Carter has given me the best impression as a human being, but not as a president. -

Another with the same weird fixation. Would the course of action you are suggesting, have any effect on incidents like this ? No it would not , so give it a rest for gods sake I saw a car the other day with a sticker on it saying " my other car is a porsche" should the owner be fully investigated and prosecuted if his other car is not actually a Porsche ?- 1
