  • A lot more useful and practical  than a submarine.

  • At least these can be useful in a non combat role.  Look at the flooding situation in Chiang Mai right now. A small helicopter to bring in vital supplies and evacuate any injured would be a big help

  • Boeing could use a little bit of good news.

Well they have been attacked a few times by arch enemy Burma, the Japs caused some issues, us Brits bombed them a bit, the French tried a land grab.

WW2, and before.... but my comment was very specific, about now, or even the foreseeable future

larger, non military helos, would be better suited

After the failure of their spacecraft Boeing is seeking recognition with a different achievement: the delivery of a handful of midget copters for the Thai army.

Let’s see what happens in the USA election. They are the country most likely to start another war.

might be to fight the communists, maybe for weapons of mass destruction, looking for Saudi terrorists.
They always have some excuse.

Ah, the classic 'attack to defend' strategy—because nothing says self-protection like going on the offensive, right?

And the yanks did a bit of bombing to!

😂😁🐘

The Little Bird is designed to perform a wide range of missions including light attack, precision attack, anti-armour, security and escort, reconnaissance, combat search and rescue and troop insertion and extraction.

The new helicopters will replace seven ageing Bell AH-1F Cobras now operated by 3AvBat, based at  Lop Buri/Sa Pran Nak in Thailand’s central Lopburi Province.

Put floats on it and deliver food to flooded villages.

The article doesn't mention that of the 8 Bell AH Cobras they will replace, one crashed in 2001 and 3 are stored unserviceable. So not a vast pool of experience in operating attack helicopters.

As a utility helicopter to insert troops or carry loads, their size renders them practically useless.

I suppose that you could install a comfy chair in the back for a VIP, but the entourage will have to go by bus!

The Americans have attacked here before.

Better to be safe than sorry.
