The incident occurred in Samut Prakan, during the early hours of October 12, when a 38-year-old man was attacked by his mentally unstable ex-girlfriend, who threw acid on him outside his bathroom. The attack also injured his 8-year-old daughter, who was caught in the crossfire.

Police from the Samut Prakan City Station received the emergency call at around 00:05, reporting that a man had been doused with acid in a home in Bang Mueang, Mueang District. Rescue workers arrived at the two-story house to find the man suffering from severe acid burns on both his thighs and feet. His young daughter also had burns on both ankles. Both victims were given first aid and rushed to Paolo Hospital in Samut Prakan.

The scene was chaotic, with a pungent odor of acid in the air, and evidence of damage from the corrosive liquid, including melted clothing and burn marks on the floor and a fan. Authorities quickly learned that the perpetrator was the man’s ex-girlfriend, with whom he had recently ended a one-year relationship. She fled the scene to a nearby rental home after the attack.

The victim recounted that he was taking a shower when his ex-girlfriend suddenly entered and threw a liquid on him, which he initially thought was water. However, the intense burning sensation made it clear it was acid. His daughter, who was nearby, was also splashed with the liquid. His mother and 16-year-old nephew rushed to help and called the authorities.

The man explained that the breakup occurred due to her frequent violent outbursts, during which she would often destroy property. Although they had repeatedly argued and involved the police, no action was taken, as the woman was receiving treatment as a psychiatric patient.

When contacted by police, the woman claimed she had been regularly abused by the victim, but authorities were skeptical, as she had a history of violence against him. She refused to surrender, saying she feared being harmed and would only turn herself in on her own terms. Police are now gathering evidence and preparing an arrest warrant to apprehend her if she fails to voluntarily surrender.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities proceed with legal action.

Unbelievable.  So what's stopping this fruit loop getting more acid and throwing it at someone else while police await an arrest warrant?

She has a history and it's pretty clear cut she did this.  Get her off the streets before it happens again.

She's like a loaded gun just waiting for someone to pull her trigger.

Who gets hurt next?
