Social Media Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 In a bizarre twist, police officers in Portland, Oregon, made an unusual discovery when they found drugs inside a bag boldly labeled "definitely not a bag full of drugs." The stash came to light during a traffic stop involving an allegedly stolen vehicle. Officers pulled over the driver and passenger, only to uncover a variety of incriminating items inside the car. Last night pro-active police work from East Precinct night shift officers resulted in the location of a stolen vehicle in the area of SE 162/Division. There was a bag full of drugs, scales, money, loaded firearm. Driver and passenger taken into custody - multiple charges pending. pic.twitter.com/UpvzZtMQXi — PPB East Precinct (@ppbeast) October 9, 2024 Among the recovered items were scales, cash, a loaded firearm, and the now-infamous small brown make-up bag, humorously labeled to suggest it contained anything but drugs. However, despite the bag’s cheeky claim, it held over 10 grams of fentanyl and methamphetamine, according to reports from local authorities. The Portland Police Bureau shared details of the incident on social media, posting on X about the unlikely find. Alongside the post was a picture of the confiscated items, including the bag in question. The two individuals involved—a man and a woman—were promptly arrested. They now face charges of drug possession and possession of a stolen vehicle. Local media outlets have reported on the incident, which has captured public attention due to the irony of the bag’s label. While it remains unclear whether the bag’s wording was intended as a joke or an attempt to mislead, the outcome was far from amusing for the suspects. Based on a report from Sky News | X 2024-10-12 2
