hi george.could you please tell me,if you have a one year multiple entry can you renew it in penang or do you have to go back to the u.k. and what paper work do you require?

You need to be 50 years or over. You need a bank account with 800,000 baht credit for the last three months or an Embassy certified income of 65,000 baht a month or a combination of savings/income. A current letter from the bank is also required. Then it is off to Immigration. The fee is 1900 baht. If you travel abroad often you also need a re-entry permit.

If you just want a multi entry non immigrant O visa from Penang you will need passport/copy, photos and proof of bank account (we have not heard what they currently require but Singapore requires 800k baht and can be anywhere).
