Man Dies After Losing Control of Car and Crashing into High-Voltage Utility Pole

The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday October 16, when a 39 year old man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a high-voltage utility pole on the Nakhon Si Thammarat-Pak Phanang road, Bang Chak subdistrict, in the city of Nakhon Si Thammarat.

 

Rescue teams from the Tekka Ji Kungkor Foundation and Pracharuamjai Nakhon Si Thammarat, equipped with emergency tools, arrived at the scene in an attempt to rescue the driver. However, upon arrival, they found the badly damaged car, a Honda wrapped around the utility pole. The driver, later identified as Mr. Sira (surname withheld), was found pinned inside the wreckage, having died on impact.

 

 

Investigators from the local police station, along with forensic experts, examined the scene and concluded that Mr. Sira was driving at high speed when his car failed to navigate a curve. The vehicle spun out of control and slammed into the utility pole, resulting in his immediate death. Authorities confirmed there were no other vehicles involved in the accident.

 

Mr. Sira, a resident of Pak Nakhon subdistrict, was traveling from the city centre at the time of the crash. His body has since been released to his family..
 

Authorities will continue their investigation to gather more details surrounding the incident.

There's not much in Thailand that hasn't been used to kill oneself or others. (Just in the last 1or 2 weeks) 

 

Guns, knives, cars, motorcycles, balconies, swimming pools, electricity, dams, flooded rivers, ponds, road signs, machetes, ping pong ball bombs, sticks, rope, cement truck, collapsing footpath, moat, overpass, bridge, security guards, vicious dog, snake, monk, jealous: boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife/lover, and there's bound to be others I've missed.

I don't think this is the appropriate thread to try to make puns for meaningless internet points by being "funny." As article states he had a family. Life planned ahead of him.

Maybe he should have thought about that prior to hitting the go pedal to the floor

I always feel sorry for the family in these situations but have zero sympathy for the perpetrator of a crime that endangers innocent lives. High speed in an urban environment is reckless & dangerous driving.
