Social Media Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 A 25-year-old woman has pleaded guilty to assault after throwing a milkshake at Nigel Farage during an election campaign. The incident occurred on 4 June, outside a Wetherspoons pub in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. The woman, identified as Victoria Thomas Bowen, was charged with both criminal damage and assault by beating. Nigel Farage has had a milkshake thrown over him in Clacton. Regardless of what anyone thinks of him, this sort of behaviour is completely unacceptable. pic.twitter.com/fPCW76E93m — James Melville 🚜 (@JamesMelville) June 4, 2024 Bowen, from Clacton-on-Sea, admitted her actions in Westminster Magistrates' Court in London, where she faced the charges this morning. The event attracted widespread attention, as Farage, a prominent political figure, was targeted while campaigning. 🚨 NEW: Nigel Farage gets emotional as he says he keeps getting milkshakes thrown at him because he meets the public "What does Rishi do? He gets a room of 2-dozen councillors. No one goes out and does the old-style street campaigning & this is the risk" pic.twitter.com/VjhBq50iRg — Politics UK (@PolitlcsUK) June 4, 2024 The milkshake incident was one of several similar attacks on public figures during election campaigns, which have sparked debate about political protest and personal boundaries. Nigel Farage has previously been the target of strong opposition due to his role in British politics, particularly during his leadership of the Brexit Party. Bowen's guilty plea brings an end to the legal proceedings related to this act of protest. It remains unclear what consequences she will face following the charges of assault by beating and criminal damage. Based on a report from Sky News 2024-10-22 1
Popular Post Smokey and the Bandit Posted October 21, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 21, 2024 Well as this was actual 'assault' she should get a far more serious sentence than those that had posted 'hurty words' on Facebook.? 4 1

Red Forever Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Did Farridge return to UK for the hearing?

Absolutely right. And more than the grandfather who got 2 years 8 months for holding a placard and shouting, who killed himself in jail last weekend. Highly unlikely though. It's 2 tier Britain and the left think this is funny because it's Farage. I'm expecting the usual "suspended sentence". At leat she was charged though, unlike the Manchester airport thugs who broke the nose of the female police officer. 1 2 3
MalcolmB Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 No use crying over spilt milk. The woke brigade will want her punished. People need to harden up. 3 1
Popular Post rocketboy2 Posted October 22, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 22, 2024 She needs jail time for that. A clear message needs to be sent out to people, that this sort of behavior will not be tolerated. it could have been acid, she had used. 3 2 1 1
Popular Post JonnyF Posted October 22, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 22, 2024 While they are at it, they should charge Jo Brand for encouraging people on national radio to use acid on Farage after a previous "milkshaking". If the Tory councillor got 3 years for a FaceBook post, that must be worth at least 5. Oh sorry, she's a left wing BBC luvvie. My bad. 1 4 1

JonnyF Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 The previous guy who violently protested against Farage got [drumroll], you guessed it, a suspended sentence. https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1941293/nigel-farage-coffee-cup-attacker-sentencing It seems throwing cement at someone is less serious than holding a placard and shouting. All depends who you are throwing at it you see. 1

newbee2022 Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Instead of punishment she is entitled to get a medal for this brave action. I hope it was sour milk 😂 7

But you already know that. 1 1

We don't need you to repost what happened in court Chomps, everyone knows the sentence, the discussion has moved several steps beyond that as to why it was unduly harsh and rushed through the system so quickly despite the massive backlog of cases. Instead perhaps you could post the records from the court case against the thugs who attacked and broke the nose of the female police officer at Manchester airport? Oh wait, silly me, this is 2 tier Britain so they weren't even charged. 1 1

The fact you refuse to move beyond what happened tells us everything we need to know. It's a lame strategy 2
