In the early hours of the morning of October 25, a pickup truck crashed into a concrete power pole on Sukhumvit Pattaya Soi 32, Na Kluea, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi, resulting in two injuries. The Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya Rescue Center responded to the incident after receiving reports at 03:05.

.

At the scene, authorities found a black Toyota Revo with a Bangkok license plate, severely damaged after losing control and colliding with the power pole. Inside the vehicle were two injured occupants: Mr. Raweewit Chitjaroenpranun, 40, the driver, and Ms. Kanyavee Chitjaroenpranun, 44. Both sustained injuries and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, exhibiting signs of pain and were conscious, but not very coherent.

Rescue workers provided first aid at the scene before transporting them to a nearby hospital. The driver mentioned they were returning from a concert, with wristbands from the event still visible on their wrists.

Witness Mr. Taweesap, 43, who was resting in his car nearby, recalled hearing the loud crash and immediately rushing to the scene. He saw bystanders assisting in pulling the injured passengers from the vehicle as smoke began to emerge. Bystanders also disconnected the car’s battery to prevent further hazards or possible fire, before rescue teams arrived.

Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the crash, but it is believed that alcohol may have been a large contributing factor.

There were 6 deaths reported on one day here out of 16 news items. Murder, RTAs, other accidents. Crazy Thailand.

You'd think someone would invent the idea of having a police force some time in the near future?
