The OP asked about BKK to HH not the reverse....I travel this route monthly and work on Rama 2 towards HH is virtually finished....I leave Pattaya at 4am on a Sunday morning and hit Rama 2 around 5.30 am I usually have a clear run right through to HH....there are more roadworks just outside Pranburi however....further south Surat and Chumpon are a nightmare. 1
KhunLA Posted October 29 Posted October 29 And yet, our travel times have been very consistent, over the past 22 years. Timing of course is everything, as is everywhere worldwide when going to, from, or through a metro area. Rarely do they fluctuate more the 30 minutes, between Bangkok and Muang, PKK, the past 7 ish years. Northbound to Udon Thani has gotten considerably longer, time wise. Southbound out of BKK hasn't changed much at all. Again ... timing. No matter where you travels, just use Gmaps, and it will usually do a good job to get you there. Times are fairly accurate I find. Be flexible and enjoy your journey.
khunphil Posted October 29 Author Posted October 29 Thanks for all answers.. I will try to drive west of Bangkok, not going on 35, and reach the highway 4 later. ... and if I can, yes early morning 😉 Phil 1
