In 2023, Twitter's revenue dropped to around $3.4 billion, down from $4.4 billion in 2022. In the first six months of 2024, advertisers spent about 24% less on the platform than in the same period in 2023.

Point taken. He really couldn't afford to hire a bunch of worthless people. Had he not taken drastic measures it would be a problem. The thing is our government isn't a billionaire that can do what it wants.

The jobs reports come out okay because much of it is government related jobs. Every job created by the federal government costs money and isn't accretive.

We need to cut every position we can.

It will be soon. Trump has promised Musk a cabinet position in charge of the economy. He will take the same wrecking ball to the government as he did to the economy. Trump is enamored by billionaires.

Will the world's smartest businessman ever get his money back on Twitter? Or did he take a loss just to turn it into a far right propaganda outlet?

You spelt free speech wrong. (note, I am sure there were reasons other than the stated reason).

I really don't care either way. I do care that people like Jamie Dimon are screaming from the rooftop we are on a path to fiscal disaster sooner than people are aware of.

Is hate speech and racism free speech now?

Only if you are worse than Hitler. Can you define what free speech is and who should curate it, under your definition?

Protecting billionaire oligarchs and fossil fuel magnates just because they have money will take us to fiscal disaster much sooner.

If such people didn't exist the government wouldn't be funded. The government doesn't produce a single product. It exists solely on the largesse of those that do contribute to the GDP.

Private citizens create 100% of the wealth ththe government squandewrs.

Sure, but it doesn't have to be 1% private citizens generating and holding all the money in an ever decreasing number. Protecting the oligarchs will doom the planet.

I thought Bidenomics was working so well that everybody was experiencing unprecedented levels of success and wealth?

The guys at the top of publicly traded companies certainly don't control it all. Tim Cook is worth maybe $5 billion give or take. The people like me that own a bit of APPL are worth more than $3 trillion collectively. These companies are much better instruments to enjoy a retirement than social security.

I think you mean that Twitter is now an outlet that includes the opinions across ALL viewpoints and it no longer censors things that the Government, FBI etc don't like.

Remember how they fought tooth and nail to block him buying it? Then when they thought it would hurt him they enforced the contract and he went through with it? Now he owns it and we get to see their skidmarks.

it would be like a breath of fresh air to see some new faces in the US Government.

The old very old faces are due for a welcome makeover.
