All anybody on his side have said in his defense is that he wasn't talking about shooting his opponents. so what was he talking about and why was it necessary to invoke a shooting? Nobody on Trump's side seems to be able to articulate what he really meant and why he couldn't have used some imagery that didn't involve guns.

I agree that reports of twisted interpretations of Trump's rants are not excusable but nor are the continuous repetitions of his disgustingly bogus claims that junior schools are operating as agents for gender reassignments in secret etc !

The abandonment of accountability for false statements across the social spectrum has become akin to a disease !

He unmistakenly said that if anyone wanted to shoot him from that direction  it would take down some media individual/s in the attempt and he would not mind (would  welcome) that!
