And it's not like the OPEC would restrict production in order to keep prices high enough, as they did every time the U.S. increased its production!

The main reason why gas prices pre-Covid under Trump were in general higher than in 2016 under Obama.

Misinformed again.  But when you rely on leftist MSM, it happens.

So the US ramps up production and OPEC cuts production to keep the price high. So US companies get rich and OPEC counties get poor.

kamala offered abortions, kill babies all day long as long as you want. she's a fooking freak and so are those who support killing babies up to the moment of birth.

Harris had a "mobile abortion clinic" at their convention, and proudly campaigned with it.

Harris wants men in girls' sports and showers.

Harris let millions of illegals flood into the country and wanted to fast-track them to citizenship.

Harris wants to take you children away from you if you refuse to trans them.

And then when black and Hispanic men don't vote for Harris, they call them misogynist.

It's you misinformed by GOP propaganda. 😀

"OPEC ministers confirmed it had secured a cut in its oil production from 33.8 million barrels a day (b/d) to 32.5 million b/d in an effort to prop up prices. Oil prices have fallen by more than half since mid-2014 due to global oversupply and booming U.S. shale production."

Biden has invited Trump to meet at the WH for lunch on Wednesday. Could this video be Biden trudging along Rehoboth  beach to meet President elect Trump at the WH? Biden's stealthy rockin it out, giving it all he's got traversing the grains of sand beating a path to meet Trump. He governed the country like he stumbles in the sand. Lord thundering Jesus, Biden sure did screw up America and make the globe a ticking time bomb in the process. Watch this muppet stumble along like a total spas, same as the way he stumbled along destroying America.

The two dotards may find interesting talking subjects

For example, Trump canexplain him how to fix pampers properly, according to his own experience! 😀

Yet U.S. oil prices are dependent on OPEC decisions, as I showed.

So? They can only cut production so long. We make bank while they starve, and then one starts pumping and the rest follow suit.

Any number of other things may have happened in 2015 to drive the price down. Lifting sanctions on Iran and Russia for example.

That's how OPEC countries acted in the past.

Revenue=Price×Quantity. It depends on how price and quantity variate.

On top of it, they know their reserves are not infinite.

The article I cited did not claim the increase of U.S. production was the only factor.

Right, so if they cut production to keep the price constant, they have less revenue, correct?

Their reserves are more infinite than their lives.

Maybe more revenues than if they keep the same production at a lower price.

Anyway, until now, that's what they've done so far, and that's the stated goal of OPEC: control production level in order to control prices.

So? Is this supposed to be something new? They have been doing this since I was in high school.

There are no babies until birth. Up to the moment of birth, they are embryos. Basic science.

So your point was that they are really not able to prop up the price long term?

No. Why wouldn't they be able to do what they have basically been doing since you were in high school?

They can continue to do what they have been doing, which is cut production a bit for a while, because they are not the only players.

Look at 50-year price chart.

I think you are trying to make the case that ramping up US production will not reduce oil prices, yes?
