While the chart supports my position, it does not answer my question.

How does it support your position? It doesn't show a long term price decrease.

About your question. It was obviously the point I was making.

Where do you think the funding comes from for social programs.  Many NGO's could not survive without government grants.  A bad economy means less money for social programs. That's reality.

I consider myself a right-leaning moderate.  I agree we need to reign in some of the extreme practices of capitalism.

I retired 14 years ago at age 70.  Being self employed I funded my own retirement.  Like my parents, I did not want to rely on the government in my old age.

And no, I do not consider myself "special."

The bottom line has never changed, going back to the Marxist professors in the U.S. in the 1930's, those who can DO and those who can't TEACH. Of course with each ensuing year those who couldn't find a good job and wound up teaching (especially at the University level) get more and more bitter with their lives, and so they get sucked into this Marxist cabal. The situation got so critical by the late 1940's that it became a national security issue and we wound up with the McCarthy hearings, and while many think that McCarthy went too far, in fact he didn't go far enough since this communist cabal reformed in the 1960's (this is where we get Barry Sotero's mentor - Bill Ayers) and has been festering within the system ever since. President Trump needs to rid the Federal government of these metastasizing Marxist scum, and end the Deep State once and for all. I am happy to see Elon Musk getting involved, not only to strip the excessive fat from this bloated government (perhaps even doing away with the GSA), but also to help in creating laws for the tech industry, that will reign in censorship and let free speech rule the day yet again. I can easily see the federal government cutting 25-30% of its workforce, and this would include a complete reorganization of the Justice Dept. the DOD and the Intel agencies. A new and beautiful day in the United States of America is about to dawn, and the American dream will be back as strong as ever!

Of course, every day for the next twelve years.

No one believes them

So true! These are the same economists that told Biden and the Demonrats to pass multi trillion dollar legislation for the green new deal and DEI (and ironically call it the inflation reduction act), and convinced these clueless woketards that this will not cause inflation! No one will ever believe these ass clown economists ever again.

Nonsense. The economist cited in the different articles are not Biden's advisers! 😃

Biden has invited Trump to meet at the WH for lunch on Wednesday. Could this video be Biden trudging along Rehoboth  beach to meet President elect Trump at the WH? Biden's stealthy rockin it out, giving it all he's got traversing the grains of sand beating a path to meet Trump. He governed the country like he stumbles in the sand. Lord thundering Jesus, Biden sure did screw up America and make the globe a ticking time bomb in the process. Watch this muppet stumble along like a total spas, same as the way he stumbled along destroying America.

Come on, they are just doing a remake of weekend at Bernie's!

I am no more a Trump fan than you are.But perhaps better reflect on why Americans gave Trump such a convincing mandate.

I have him on ignore so only saw his post because you quoted it. Seems some of the usual suspects can't give up the whining that they have been making about Trump since he announced in 2016.

It's like if they complain enough he'll go away.

IMO part of the reason Trump won is as a reaction to all the moaning about him and voting for Trump was a form of revenge on them. I only became a supporter of Trump this time because of the vile hatred against him on this forum.
