No cuts to social security and medicare was part of what trump was running on, and something the dems didnt promise. So whatever ends up happening is what it is, its likely you are wrong yet again

Social Security and Medicare are the cans that both parties kick down the road. Neither party has the guts to fix them.

I don't really know why she lost. Honestly, I thought the abortion issue would win it for her. But there were a lot of other things that crippled her towards the end, I guess. It may have been the squirrel.

I think the abortion issue might have hurt her.

Mort people, women in particular, knew that abortion remained available for everyone that wanted one, most everywhere, two years after roe.

An abortion clinic at the Democrat Convention?

I think the left’s obsession with abortion likely hurt their whole cause. A large majority of people support early term abortion. That drops off pretty quickly in the second trimester, and is tiny by the third.

But I do not believe many women think of it as something like squeezing a pimple. I know one woman that supports abortion, that had a few abortions in the ‘80s, and says it’s still something she regrets.

Why do you think that is?

Democrats lost when they pick the worst performers at the 2020 primaries added to that the censorship and dictatorial mandates during the scamdemic.
Nobody ever got +80 millions votes at the presidential elections. Democrats cheated during the primaries and the 2020 elections. It will never recover unless tit starts from scratch.
I just hope to see in the next 4 years the end of NATO, WEF, WHO and UN. Next will be the EU and its autocratic administration.

Ridiculous B.S. conspiracy theory! 🤣

I'm sure things will become much worse over the next four years. I predict the USA will descend into complete chaos because of his upcoming actions.

How exactly did you come up with this conclusion? Or did Joy reed and morning joe feed you this silliness?

I came to that conclusion because of what Trump has said he'll do. Of course, he might not actually do all of them—he lies a lot. But if he is able to do most of them, chaos will surely follow—and I don't mean chaos caused by rioting Democrats. I mean economic and general social chaos.

What do you think Trump will do that will crash the economy?

Among other things, he will impose tariffs, which will increase prices and lower taxes on the wealthy (and maybe the general public), which will keep increasing our national debt, which is now about $47 trillion.

I generally do not approve of tariffs, but I hardly see them crashing the economy. They didn’t last time.

What taxes do you think he will cut? One could argue cutting taxes on SS benefits the “rich“, but cutting taxes on overtime and tip?

The US has a spending problem, not a revenue problem.

Maybe this is why she lost. Just imagine what Rod Serling used to say during the Twilight Zone.  This was way back in 2005 and look "the facist" on TV:

I agree the USA has a spending problem. And that has resulted in a $47 trillion debt. So, revenue to start paying that off is also a problem. That's my non-accountant view of it anyway,

It's easy enough for the economically literate to predict the outcomes of what Trump has promised to do.

You pretend you want to have a discussion, then you dodge the question.

If you have a hamburger stand that does not sell enough burgers to pay the bills, do you just raise the price of burgers?

What was Harris going to do again?

I wasn't trying to dodge any of your questions. I'll try to answer more directly this time,

If I had a hamburger stand in a capitalistic economy that did not sell enough burgers to pay the bills, I'd probably try to add other things to the menu and open up a different business. But raising the price, IMO,  is not going to help.

If I had a hamburger stand in a socialist economy, I would have no bills, so the number of burgers given away (not sold) wouldn't matter - except if not many people wanted them, I would probably try to do the same as above - add to the menu or do something different with my time to add to the national assets.

Thanks, but the question you refused to answer was: Which taxes do you believe Trump will cut that will crash the economy?

Oh, I think that will primarily be taxes on the wealthy, but any tax cuts will hurt the economy because there will not be a corresponding cut in spending. Tax cuts will increase our national debt, which is already at $47 trillion (I think).

Is that why the farmers all voted for Harris?

Well, as luck would have it for all soybean farmers the world around. The Russians attack Ukraine, sending the price of soybeans sky-high. Prices are expected to begin dropping next year.

So just the old generic “tax cut for the rich” zero-sum game nonsense.

Tump’s last tax cuts benefited abot 95% of taxpayers, tax revenue went up, and the share the top 10% paid went ip -1%.

You mean after Trump surrenders the US to Putin?

Trump has put together a superior and top notch team and Vivek is a good example of that. Kamala has a bunch of low achieving frauds and voters saw this. Vivek could be president some day. Kamala, NOT A CHANCE., but democrats were too stupid and overconfident.

Because of the damage done by the tariffs, Trump lost Illinois (the nation's largest soybean-growing state) to Biden by a 17% margin in 2020. You keep deflecting. I pointed out what unforeseen consequences happen. We open a can of worms when we think we are in control of the worlds market.

By your answer, I believe I know some of your other "personas"

As I stated earlier in the thread, I generally do not support tariffs, but I don’t see targeted tariffs crashing the economy.

How am I deflecting?

Obama carried Illinois by 16.85% in 2012

Clinton carried Illinois by 17.07% in 2016

Biden carried illinois by 17% in 2020

Harris carried Illinois by 9% in 2024

Now please tell me how many votes you thing Trump lost due to soy tariffs?
