I believe the United States of America is a Plutocratic Oligarchy masquerading as a Democracy where the wealthy and powerful control government, the economy, and everything else. I'm glad I don't need to run a country. I think I would have constant migraines and high blood pressure and I would have to constantly look over my shoulder for assassins.

Pretty much how it is, and has been. That's why I said, no matter how you feel about someone in charge, you can't do anything about it so sit back and watch them either implode or come through. The US needs certain things, and people voted him in because Kamala was weak in areas.

The great unanswered question of course is whether he, or enthusiastic supporters, take up that torch. In a country as politically polarised as the USA, and awash with guns, it is not perhaps that unlikely.
