A traffic collision involving a tour bus and a Isuzu four-wheeled truck occurred on the afternoon of November 7, leaving five people injured. The crash took place at Kilometre Marker 237+500 in Pran Buri district, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.

According to the Prachuap Khiri Khan Highway Police Rescue Radio Centre, the bus collided with the truck around 13:55. None of the 20, bus passengers sustained any injuries, but the passengers in the Isuzu truck, carrying banquet supplies, were less fortunate.

Four women traveling in the truck suffered serious injuries, while the male driver incurred minor injuries. Emergency responders were quick to transport the injured to a nearby hospital for urgent care.

The injured truck driver explained that he was returning from a catering job when he attempted to overtake a vehicle which was in the left lane. Moving into the right lane, the truck was struck from behind by the tour bus, causing it to spin out of control and overturn on the median.

The bus driver recounted that he had been traveling from Bangkok to Bangsaphan, occupying the right lane. He reported that the truck suddenly moved into his lane in an attempt to overtake. Despite his attempt to brake, he collided with the truck.

The bus company arranged for an alternative vehicle to transport the passengers to their destination.

The authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the collision. Police are currently examining possible factors such as driver error and road conditions at the time of the crash.

How often do we this happening? Trucks changing lanes in an instant with no regard for traffic already in the lane...

We travel to BKK regularly.....I would guess about 20--30 instances each way!

It's the trucks fault!

Buses always drive in the fast lane on this stretch, forcing cars to use the slow lane. Very dangerous.

It's big and visible... if you're looking.

It is a bad habit of changing lane without looking/signal. As well as motorcycle coming out of small streets not bothering to look.
