Elon Musk’s Estranged Daughter Seeks New Life Abroad After Trump Victory

Elon Musk’s estranged daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, has announced her plans to leave the United States following the re-election of President-elect Donald Trump. Wilson, who severed ties with her father in 2022, made her feelings clear in a recent post on Threads, expressing her concerns over the future political climate and her disappointment with the support Trump received. “I’ve thought this for a while, but yesterday confirmed it for me. I don’t see my future being in the United States,” she wrote. Acknowledging that Trump’s term could last only four years, she added, “Even if the anti-trans regulations magically don’t happen, the people who willingly voted this in are not going anywhere anytime soon.”

Wilson, now 20, initially distanced herself from Musk two years ago by legally changing her name and gender in an effort to break free from her father's influence and identity. Despite his immense success and influence, Musk’s relationship with Wilson has been fraught with tension, a tension he partly attributes to her education. Musk has openly criticized what he sees as a “woke mind virus” in American society, particularly in elite schools and universities. In his view, these institutions, like the Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences in Santa Monica where Wilson once attended, promote ideologies that have strained their relationship. “She went beyond socialism to being a full communist and thinking that anyone rich is evil,” Musk shared with his biographer Walter Isaacson, lamenting the divide.

The impact of this rift weighs heavily on Musk. He once confided that his daughter’s estrangement was a deep emotional blow, even comparing it to the death of his firstborn child, Nevada. “I’ve made many overtures, but she doesn’t want to spend time with me,” Musk revealed. During an interview with conservative commentator Jordan Peterson, Musk expressed his sorrow over the loss, going so far as to say he had “lost my son” and that Wilson was “dead” to him. His harsh words have done little to repair their fractured relationship, and Wilson has spoken candidly about her experiences with him.

In a revealing interview with NBC News, Wilson described Musk as “cold” and “cruel,” recounting painful memories from her childhood that highlighted their troubled relationship. She recalled one specific incident during a road trip, which she later learned was intended as an advertisement for one of Musk’s cars. “I was in fourth grade… and he was constantly yelling at me viciously because my voice was too high,” she remembered. These moments, according to Wilson, defined Musk as “very quick to anger” and as having an “uncaring and narcissistic” nature.

Wilson also took issue with Musk’s claim that he was “tricked” into approving her trans-related medical treatments as a teenager. She refuted his assertions, stating, “He was not by any means tricked. He knew the full side effects.” These accusations and counter-accusations have cast a shadow over their relationship, which, according to Wilson, has seen little to no communication over the past four years.

As she contemplates leaving the country, Wilson’s decision is fueled by both personal and political motivations. Her move underscores her desire to establish an independent identity far from the shadow of one of the world’s wealthiest men. While Musk’s influence continues to shape industries, Wilson’s journey represents a stark divergence from her father’s path.

  • Good luck to her. I wouldn't want to be around Musk, either. He's an anathema to me,

  • Feel bad for Elon having a son with mental issues like that.    A bit like King Charles with Harry.   I guess that can happen when you grew up so privileged and never lived in real

  • I bet that has made All Trump voters regret their decision.

Most likely reaffirmed how parents feel. Losing your son by her becoming a girl and hating you because you are successful. By her comments, she definitely has some problems by the way she thinks.

It's ok for this bloke to announce his departure, but when I do it it's a problem.

she changed her Gender ?

So she was a male before ... she's a rebel and hates her father ...

A more subtle approach could have been better and more intelligent ...?

But anyway , you see , money can't buy everything ...

Wonder if she is living off Daddy's money or has she removed the appendage that so infuriated him.

Being the black sheep of the family. Let's see in a month or two if he/she actually left. Same as all the actors who wanted to leave for Canada. Wokewood is still not there but at the same place it was.

Yes, the USA is such an evil, hateful and oppressive place to live. They'll be burning trans folk in the streets before Christmas (which may now be acceptable to celebrate).

What will the United States ever do?

This is one of many examples that you cannot make success in both business and family. Both takes to much effort to make success in both.
I dont know Musk, but what I have seen fits well into her description og her father.

Of course he is, he has spoken about it.  It has been common knowledge for years:

Elon Musk reveals he has Asperger's on Saturday Night Live

I worked with one.......it's not difficult to spot them if you make yourself familiar with their characteristic traits.

Everyone likes to talk about how brilliant they are because of the few "stars", such as Musk, that appear.

Truth is that the actual % of them that achieve great "success" is no greater than the % of neurotypical people who make a name for themselves in whatever field they  work in.

The one I worked with has been in the same job, at the same level, in the same company, since they left school at 16.......35 years ago.

They have not changed/developed in that time....they will never go anywhere else.

They make everyone around them miserable.
