How are non-maga Americans describing yourselves to non-Americans that you meet now?

You don't sound like an American. We are not tied to our leaders like that.

If you’re responding to me, you could not be more wrong. I am 100% American, USA born and raised.

My point was simply that Trump has unified the (R) party. Nothing wrong with that, or with admiring him for being able to pull it off.

That’s just a convenient rationalization. Living somewhere by choice for an extended period of time under a regime installed by a coup, which some people consider anti-democratic, etc. is somewhere between “endorsement” and “I don’t care about its negatives”.

Most of us don’t care about either of those labels and people should just do what they need to do in their own lives! But if you are going to talk the talk about a Trump administration being bad for… all the reasons people are quick to jump on President Trump, then not walking the walk elsewhere in life is a wee bit hypocritical.

You make an excellent point.  I too have thought the same thing when the self professed socialists don’t seem to realize that they are doing the exact opposite playing the economic arbitrage game.

maybe they do realize it, but just aren’t very honest people in general.

I'd have to answer ... Who ?

He was always going on about how bad and dishonest Trump is as well as anyone who supports Trump and that he's a criminal and all his supporters are .

He was a facebook friend .

Six months later he had been caught working illegally and had overstayed his visa and tried to exit Thailand at a land border using a photo of someone else's visa extension .

He posted a photo from Bangkok IDC asking if anyone could lend him 20 000 Baht to pay his overstay fine and also a one way ticket back to the USA

His Dad bailed him out and hes now back in the USA

A fundamental principle of ecosystems is that a species must adapt to its  environmental changes if it is to survive.  The Republican party evolved and adapted to a change in its environment. Prior to the  shift to MAGA, the old Republican party was  slowly dying. It has now adapted sufficiently to attract voter blocks that previously had avoided it. Now it is invigorated and energized.

There is no denying that today's Republican party is abnormal compared to the party that existed 50 years ago.  However, sometimes, it is those abnormal changes that will result in a species' success.  As more and more MAGA affiliated or aligned candidates have succeeded, the abnormality has become the new normal.

Your position is one of not wanting there to be change, and of wanting  adaptation to the changed environment to stop. Soon, it will be the turn of the Democrat Party to adapt. The changes will most likely be abnormal to you too, but if the Democrats do not adapt they will soon experience the Republican devastation that  followed the Bush administration.  In US politics, 24 months is nothing. The midterm election cycle will start in 1 year. Change isn't so bad. It is how we  usually improve.

When did the human species ever display collective judgement designed to enhance the species longevity, as opposed to the opposite?

I never ask anyone I meet where they belong political or sexually, and be sure those who endorse Trump, or hate him, will tell you sooner or later. No need to ask

Public hygiene and food safety: The advent of sewage systems, proper nutrition through  agricultural  improvements, available potable water, vaccination against childhood diseases etc.  have contributed to the increase in human longevity . In the short span of 200 years, the life expectancy went from 32 years to 72 years.

That's scratching around the edges and has no bearing on survival of the species.

The World effort to eradicate smallpox, Polio and a few other deadly diseases ?

Not at all. You will find  that my response  is the shared position of the majority of people, particularly experts.

For example; https://www.forbes.com/sites/quora/2022/09/15/4-reasons-life-expectancy-has-increased-in-the-past-200-years/

Increasing life expectancy of individuals is unrelated to the survival of the species.

On individual longevity, Trump has just appointed a vaccine cynic (not a skeptic) to the WH. How's that going to work out.

Meantime, the USD yields look like they will invert again and the dollar is rising like a Musk rocket. Hello unaffordable loans and incoming depression, probably fueled by expectation of debt blowout due to incoming tax reductions and massive spending. PLus the depression in GDP caused by the expulsion of millions of migrants. It might make MAGA feel good but migrants are the single reason the US outperformed Europe these past few years.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Racist text messages invoking slavery raised alarm across the country this week after they were sent to Black men, women and students, including middle schoolers, prompting inquiries by the FBI and other agencies.

Link says IF , you claimed something different , the link doesn't back up your claim

IF does not refer to indecision but the fact that Trump is not yet president.

What evidence do you have that it was sent by Trump supporters ?

"The messages, sent anonymously,"

It has been established that Russia released multiple videos purporting to show  ballot box fraud in the  US election.

Iran has been implicated in the civil unrest that has plagued multiple university campuses, and that hass promoted racial and religious hate.

How do you know it is  MAGA and not Foreign agents? Blaming of them for  activities long associated with China, Russia and Iran is unreasonable.

I have watched youtube videos of democrats decrying the election of Trump where those crying were claiming that they would be put back into slavery or, if white, claiming that blacks would again be enslaved.

This is the first I have heard/read that messages invoking slavery, were being sent to anyone.

I will follow this to see if law enforcement  discovers who was responsible.  I am curious if it will or will not be another fraudulent claim of racism from a leftist, as has happened in the past.

You stated that it has already happened .

So you first claim is wrong and Trump hasn't actually appointed a vaccine cynic

After initially falling, the DXY has risen sharply since the election. The next rate change will be an emergency rise at this rate. Inflation is baaack.

One person sent some E-mails , they shouldn't be given publicity whoever they are .

They should just be ignored and the E-mails binned and the sender blocked
