Yes, it does. From the link;

 

Shortly after returning from Cuba, Hegseth volunteered to serve in Baghdad and Samarra, where he held the position of Infantry Platoon Leader and, later in Samarra, of Civil-Military Operations Officer. During his time in Iraq, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Valor Device, Combat Infantryman Badge, and a second Army Commendation Medal.

 

As icing on the cake, the "Combat Infantryman Badge" is awarded to those who personally serve in active ground combat.

This wouldn't surprise me. Gaetz resigned from the house. So the. investigations into him ended. If he is rejected it gains a clean seat as. the GOP should win that easily. Makes for an easy way to resign and save face.
