Hegseth was/is a womanizer that fooled around on his wife. I believe the rape clime was false, and the investigation seems to show that. No charges were brought. It makes no sense to me that a man's life should be ruined on nothing but the word of a woman, that the police did not find credible. 

 

My only real concern with Hegseth is the drinking, which may just be a nothing burger.

What kind of absolute garbage does a person need to be to get this kind of letter from his own mother? 

 

She is in full defense mode, saying she didn't mean it and she was just angry in the moment...but no one writes this without a lot of evidence- it's the "and have been for  years" and the accusation of a long-standing pattern that shows she absolutely meant he has been a long-term piece of excrement.

But she never substantiated any rape claim, or any criminal activity. 

 

That he treated his wife poorly seven years ago I do not think is in dispute. 

 

Any anonymous accusations should be dismissed out of hand.

You responded to my claim that I believed the rape allegation was false. Are you now agreeing the rape allegation is likely false?

This is pretty thick, even for a MAGA. Yes, she said "abused in some way"...the root word is indeed abuse. I take her meaning in the context of her email to be that he had a pattern of various types of abuse, and numerous instances of abuse over time. What type of abuse (in some way) is ok with you?

Is your reading comprehension a problem for you in all aspects of your life? I never suggested nor implied physical abuse. His mother used the term abuse, and she also used the word cheating. She felt the need to distinguish his abuse from his cheating. I have no idea if he was physically, emotionally, sexually, or psychologically abusive- you would have to ask her.
