I suppose you will always get bat<deleted> crazy ideas floating around on the fringes of a new administration, but unusual for them to come from the people in charge of the new department!

I am not an expert on the United States Constitution (that bit appears to be missing from my copy of the bible - I blame those bloody Chinese printers); but there again actually I am not convinced that many others posting here are, including some of the most enthusiastic supporters of Mr Trump!

 

However, it is my understanding that matters of funding, staffing and management of Federal Agencies, including the creation of new government departments, are firmly in the hands of Congress, which rather reduces the status of Messrs Musk and Ramaswamy to the status of lobbyists!
