Russian is walking the escalation ladder in a measured manner. I imagine that hitting Kiev is another couple of steps up the escalator. The next response if the US/UK/France insists on continuing to launch their missiles (Ukraine is not launching them) will probably be a demonstration of more powerful conventional warheads. If the West keeps pushing, then Russia hits Kiev and destroys the governmental infrastructure. This de-escalates by the West standing down on the missile launches. Not sure they will do that. And for all the pro-war fan-boys urging the US/UK/France on - if this sh*t continues we all die. You morons can't grasp that. 1 3 1 1
Hanaguma Posted Friday at 05:11 AM Posted Friday at 05:11 AM Absolute fvcking idiocy. There arent enough of the missiles to do anything but be irritating. But...they CAN be used to escalate the war, to be an excuse for ever more bloodshed. Whoever is running the US government is now bordering on criminal by doing this. President Biden forbade it for more than a year, yet suddenly now it is permitted? Utter stupidity, and an obvious attempt to sabotage the incoming Trump administration. 1 3 1 1

At this point, it certainly doesn't appear as though there will be any movement towards standing down on the missile launches, especially by France and the UK. The US is definitely involved as well, but their involvement may well have a political component - sabotaging Trump. So that's some hope. If Putin continues his patience, and if Trump makes it into office, then I can see a deal happening that would end the hostilities. I'm not sure the US wants to annihilate humanity just because of an Eastern European squabble over Russia's border and NATO membership for Ukraine. As for all the "pro-war fanboys"? The rank and file of that group have been well and truly brainwashed by years of Western propaganda. And they don't comprehend the results of a nuclear war. They think Russia and Putin are evil. And they're being told that Putin is "bluffing." Or, what's worse, the entire situation is not even part of what's reported as news. Edited Friday at 05:49 AM by jas007 To finish the post 1 1 1 1

3NUMBAS Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Ukraine studies debris from new Russian ballistic missile 15:19 , Alexander Butler Ukrainian investigators are studying the debris of a new Russian intermediate-range ballistic missile that was fired at the city of Dnipro on Thursday, the first time such a powerful weapon has been used in the war. Reuters was among a small group of reporters given access to the wreckage of the missile on Sunday. Reporters were asked not disclose the exact location of the site for security reasons. The scorched and crumbled pieces of debris were laid out in a hanger at a facility which conducts weapons forensics. Ukrainian experts study such debris to gain insight into Russian military supply chains, production and how to develop counter-measures.
