Georgealbert Posted Monday at 09:19 PM Posted Monday at 09:19 PM A crash involving a big bike and a road barrier on the Theparat Road (Bang Na-Trat Highway) claimed the life of a 26-year-old motorcyclist, after he appeared to have hit a large pot hole. The accident occurred in the early hours of November 25 on the express lane at kilometre marker 21, near Tambon Sisa Chorakhe Yai in Bang Sao Thong District, Samut Prakan. Police officers, rescue workers, and forensic medical staff from Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital responded to the scene. A black CBR motorcycle was found on the left lane of the expressway, heavily damaged, with oil spilled across the road. About 400 metres away, the body of Mr. Wutthichai, 26, a resident of Sakon Nakhon Province, was discovered in a drainage ditch on the road’s median strip. Evidence of the crash was found 100 metres from the body, including marks on a concrete barrier and a pothole that likely caused the accident. Dashcam footage from a passing vehicle captured the moment the motorbike lost control after hitting the pothole. The footage shows the bike swerving violently before colliding with the median barrier, sending debris flying nearly 500 metres. Initially, the rider could not be seen due to a cloud of dust. Mr. Wichian, the owner of the dashcam footage, recounted the incident. He explained that after he stopped his vehicle, he began searching for the rider after noticing a helmet floating in the drainage ditch. Following the trail, he discovered the victim’s body submerged in the water. Shortly after the crash, Ms. Inthra, 28, the victim’s girlfriend, arrived at the scene. She explained that she had tracked his location using GPS after being unable to contact him. The coordinates led her to the crash site, where she confirmed her boyfriend’s identity. Forensic specialists and police conducted a preliminary examination and documented the incident. The body has been sent to Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital for further examination. Authorities are investigating the incident, focusing on the road conditions and the role of the pothole in causing the fatal crash. RichardColeman Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Is it just me, or does 50% of the stories arriving in my e-mail from this site today revolve around road deaths and accidents ? I think in my opinion its just a way to reduce the population as there really is no reason they do not act on it, other than get paid overtime to 'save' lives at New Year !

To me it just looks like a typical highspeed death wobble. You can also hear him revving the hell out of it while the steering does the death wobble in the video. 1

I assumed maybe he was trying to slow down, but I guess if revving he was trying to correct it. Is it possible that hitting a pothole caused the wobble and he was wobbling before the video begins?

Possible, if he damaged the steering, would be nice to see the pothole though. Wish the previous 30 seconds was on the video. Would take quite a pothole to damage the steering. Aussie999 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Body found about 400m from the bike, I don't think the "pothole" is the only cause. Edited 2 hours ago by Aussie999

Aussie999 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago This "Evidence of the crash was found 100 metres from the body, including marks on a concrete barrier and a pothole that likely caused the accident," seems to contradict the 400m from the bike, unless he was flung backwards.
