A car crash in Phrae Province on the evening of November 26 left two people dead and two injured after their car overturned and caught fire. The incident occurred on a sharp curve near Ban Mae Ram in Huai Rai Subdistrict, Den Chai District.

A Toyota Land Cruiser, license plate from Bangkok, veered off the road and plunged into a ravine, bursting into flames. Rescue teams from Den Chai Ruam Boon, local police, and fire trucks from the Huai Rai Subdistrict Administrative Organisation were dispatched to extinguish the flames.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing the sound of the vehicle overturning, followed by two explosions, believed to be caused by the gas system in the vehicle. The car was quickly engulfed in flames. Nearby residents managed to pull four passengers from the burning wreckage, but two had already succumbed to their injuries. The other two were rushed to Somdet Phra Yupparat Den Chai Hospital for emergency treatment.

Preliminary investigations revealed that all four occupants of the vehicle were foreign nationals, one Indian and three Pakistanis. They were reportedly traveling to Nan Province on business when the accident occurred.

Authorities suspect that wet and slippery road conditions from earlier rainfall may have contributed to the crash. The exact cause is under investigation. The bodies of the two deceased have been sent to Somdet Phra Yupparat Den Chai Hospital for autopsy.

Wonder if it was the ones just arrested for distraction theft. Another nation this country should ban tourists from.

I don't think that I have ever seen a Toyota Land Cruiser in Thailand. I used to work in the UAE and I saw them every day.
