Back on topic, Trump did nothing. He imposed no tariffs (because he's not president) and Mexico's president agreed to nothing. In fact, she said if Trump does impose tariffs, Mexico will retaliate with their own tariffs. And, the border is not closed in any way, not even "effectively closed". Once again, Trump's alternate reality building is hard at work, but the rest of the world is not likely to play along.

Its just more of the typical Trump bs that his cult all hang on as facts and accomplishments when there is none.

 

Trump has always lived by the belief that if you say a lie enough times gullible people will believe it as truth and fact. 

 

Mexico and the US have trade agreements so his claims on tariffs and trade sanctions won't be that easy.

 

As for deportation Mexico has already put him on notice that if he tries to just start mass deportation they will also deport 2 million Americans that have already been identified.

 

As for closing borders he's talking bs,  like so many on this forum. Mexico never agreed to anything he claims and he legally can't negotiate anything with other countries as he isn't in office and there are laws prohibiting dual government operation.
