We don't know how rare they are because people are not allowed to complain !   Not really, because defamation laws protect the establishment.

  • You're not Thai, you don't speak Thai, you don't read thai, you weren't raised in thailand, so with that comment, continue your diatribe against Thailand laws.

There's no reason to have a topic bashing Thailand where no one knows why they are bashing Thailand.

Bet ya half the folks commenting are still planning their first trip

So are you know the designated defender of Thailands's Honor and reputation?

Both are not meant to be entered into the GI track.  The glass is an immiediate hazard to all you ingest.  In terms of E Coli some will have minimal effects. Both are health hazards and the general public should be made aware of both as soon as possible. Of course in the Land of Smiles "we don't need to know".

You are getting a little closer but still failing. Give up.

Just because you're an ignorant newbie, it doesn’t mean everyone else is, though it’s amusing how confidently you flaunt your ignorance.

Perhaps one day, you'll grasp the concept that projecting your own painfully narrow perspective onto others isn’t just flawed thinking, it’s a tedious display of your lack of awareness.

Until then, keep revelling in the bliss of not knowing what you don’t know.

Translation: I dont speak or read Thai and you caught me pontificating on subjects I know nothing about, so I will respond by insulting you to mask my own inferiority.

You don't know that!

Irrespective of your rant, the safety of customers, must always override upsetting food companies or restaurants, in this case it appears no damage was done, but if a small child had eaten it, it could have been a lot worse!

You will struggle to achieve that goal...

Yet you consistently provide such solid examples of it.

Dude am I an authority on common sense? You lack the common sense to see the difference? Does anyone in the place see the difference.?

Wow.

1) Don't call me dude

2) How do you know I lack commons sense" Do you know me? No. You just read one comment and came to that conclusion.

3) I have no idea if you have or lack common sense.  Nor do I care to know.

Name and shame! What was the "popular pizza chain"??? I'm sure one I wouldn't go to anyway.

Then your comments are meaningless. You act as if you know something, but in fact you do not. You only have a need to defend something you do not know. Strange!

Im not defending anything. I wouldnt know a Thai defamation law if it bit me in the butt. But neither does anyone else here, so its just an excuse for folks to ignorantly bash Thailand which is tiresome and silly. and stupid. Stupid annoys me.

I put that last one in for the sandbox crowd. "Oh you must annoy yourself then"

Yeah the Thai Parliament translates all these comments and writes laws based on what someone in a scouser council house is saying.

Information on Thailands Defamation Laws are readily available (and in English).

Quote attributed to Mark Twain: “Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.”

And for this very reason I'm going to start ignoring you...   you're just a time wasting trollish fool offering nothing to the conversation.

Assuming that the customer didn't throw his weight around with the staff previously, accidents can happen. Not every misfortune has to end in a court case or a public scandal. In the USA I expect that the customer would sue the shop for US$XX million. Also, it's risky to report the event on social media in Thailand. If that shop is the only pizza shop in that location the customer might even be sued for defamation.

I love that you can quote Mark Twain but not the defamation laws.

That is the American way.  The flip side is lawsuits are public and often this leads to change. The question is What leads to change in Thailand?  After 8 years here I have no idea  what  drives change in LOS.
