A hidden camera scandal has rocked a prominent university sports event, sparking widespread online outrage. A perverted man is accused of placing cameras in the athletes’ bathroom, secretly recording videos during the event. Despite his denial, police uncovered substantial video evidence from his messaging app.

Yesterday, December 1, social media platforms were abuzz with discussions and condemnations of the incident. The controversy began when a post from a popular online page detailed how hidden cameras were found in the men’s bathroom at a university sports event.

The footage showed athletes in various states of undress, prompting alarm and anger among viewers. The post labelled the act as a severe societal threat, emphasising the gravity of the situation.

“This is a serious threat to society. The person responsible admitted to liking men and has recorded over 30 videos. It’s not a trivial matter anymore. It’s a grave violation of privacy.”

The incident unfolded over several days in Surin, where university athletes were competing. The suspect reportedly frequented the athletes’ bathroom, raising suspicions among the sportsmen. His behaviour was noted over three consecutive days, leading to increased vigilance among the athletes.

A volleyball player eventually reported the man’s repeated visits to their coach, prompting an internal investigation.

The coach, upon being informed, confronted the suspect in the bathroom. Initially, the man confessed to recording only shirtless videos, claiming to have deleted them. However, doubts lingered as the coach could not find any immediate evidence. The suspect was then taken to the police station for further questioning.

While the investigation was ongoing, an athlete discovered a suspicious device emitting light from a box in the bathroom. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a camera. This discovery further implicated the suspect, who continued to claim the device was merely a charger for his iPad, dismissing any allegations of recording.

Despite these claims, police managed to retrieve significant evidence from the suspect’s phone. They uncovered explicit videos of athletes, which had been shared via a messaging app. The recovery of these videos corroborated the initial claims made by the athletes and the coach, reported KhaoSod.
