I really don't think a child makes that distinction. I think that's a very traditional and religion-based concept, the child is concerned about loving parents, be they two men, two women, or a normal couple. I don't think it matters one iota.

This is a great thing for the nation, it's forward movement in a nation that's often mired in backwards movement, and it should be celebrated.

Men and women are different. Do I really have to state or explain this fact?

Children learn, in general, some different things from their father and their mother. Obviously there are lots of things which they learn from both parents. But boys without father behave in general different than boys with father. And the same for girls. Psychologists know that and until recently they were not shy to stay with the facts. And then woke happened. Sad.

By the way, I am not religious. And if it would be up to me no child should be religiously brainwashed.

And tell me, just why is that. It’s important that a child is raised in a loving environment, and that can be provided by a same-sex couple just as effectively as by a couple that’s a man and woman.

Ask a psychologist. Or just read about it or watch some videos. The information is out there and not too difficult to find.

You can? Great! Then present recent mainstream medical or psychological research that concludes that children raised by same-sex parents fare worse in life in academic performance, psychological health, and social well-being. I'm not talking about religious propaganda masquerading as science.

Here's what you can find: You can find angry, fearful people like yourself who are intimidated by the idea of those with different sexual orientations enjoying the same civil rights as you take for granted.

Your common sense goes by many other names: bigotry, hatred, homophobia, fear. It's too common, but it's nonsense.

Why should I use my time to convince you and others like you?

Be truthful, is there any evidence or expert who could convince you? Or would these people all be bigots and all that?

There is no point for me to try to convince you of something which you will never accept.

Stick with visiting Go Go's and cheat on your GF.

You forgot to mention I should only visit hetero gogos and not those trans places.

I do that - even without your advice.

What's the point in the law in international terms, if in all cases husbands or wives, if foreigners, still don't have any rights here. Just for a hype?

A stupid, ignorant generalisation.  There are plenty of unfit and abusive hetro couples.  Such a couple is far worse for a child than a loving same sex couple.

What a stupid, ignorant apples and oranges comparison... as if there's no such thing as unfit and abusive same-sex couples. In fact, statistics show that same-sex couples suffer approximately DOUBLE the amount of abusiveness in their relationships than heterosexual couples. I can't speak for others, but if I were a kid and could choose, why on earth would I choose a same-sex couple to raise me when the probability of being raised in a household with parents in an abusive relationship is so much higher....? The choice seems pretty obvious.

I'd be up for convincing. Show us some peer reviewed science that children from a gay coupling fare worse than those in a hetrosexual coupling and I'll readily agree with you.

I suspect though there isn't any other than anecdotal or skewed, religious nonsense, hence why you can't 'prove' you bias..

I don't care what your sexual preferences are.

You shouldn't make uninformed comments on how same sex couple's parental skills.

Would you go so far as to say that a child is better off with a lesbian couple as parents, then they would be raised by grandparents with their mother off to work somewhere after they've been abandoned by their father? With the grandparents burdened by having to look after the child?

As we all know it's not always so black and white as to assume that all children have a loving mother and father to take care of them.

You're generous with your time when it comes to hate speech. It only becomes valuable when you need to defend your bile.

So now it's hate-speech when I state facts. Interesting. I guess you would imprison me and reeducate me if you could do that.

I agree it is not black and white.

I think children should be in as good as possible solutions. If the parents split up, that is obviously not good. But it happens.

As far as I know, but I am far away from up to date, in many countries children can only be adopted by couples, until recently hetero couples. Single people would not be able to adopt children. Why? It's obvious.

So if a child has the chance to be adopted by a father and mother, then that is how it should happen. I don't know how many children are out there for adoption and no couple wants them. Then obviously second-best options should be considered.

Nobody can reeducate you. For that, you'd need to start with an education.

Can they legally adopt children? I hope not.

Probably OK for two women, but not two men. Transgenders, who knows.

It is a very obvous fact that there are many homosexual people in the world, and almost all of them, except perhaps for some of the very youngest, will have been raised by heterosexual parents since other options were not available when they were young. So you would be very hard pressed to show that the sexual orientation of the parents has anything to do with the sexual orientation of the children. My partner had three daughters, but the middle one was adopted by her elder, childless, sister and her husband, both of whom are heterosexual. That middle daughter, who has a well paid professional job in the global market, has a relationship with a female. Certainly no suggestion there that the family was any sort of influence on how her perferences turned out.

i wasnt condemning it i was interested how many follwed their "parents" in such a way you often see kids do what their Fathers/Mothers  did

I am very happy with the same sex marriage and also with the idea of the mass wedding.. However the organization of this event is terrible as no information is available yet.. Unknown yet if it will take place the 22nd or the 23rd of January. A judge has to decide. How difficult can it be as the law states that this law would start 120 days after publishing in the Royal Gazette... They can't count?? Besides that they expect more than 1000 couples, but no information about the day schedule, food, drinks, or other activities.... and that less than 2 months to go. Even asking for information is no answers... How can you arrange your paperworks and parties if nothing  is released..

And all who have comments on the same sex partnerships.. look at heterosexual partners.. They divorce too and kids grow up with 1 parent, or being abused or whatever.. Don't blame a group of people who just want to be treated as normal civilians.. Nothing more or less, just because people are brainwashed that same sex relations are not normal it exists already for centuries... so please people get a life  and leave the people live the life they want.. respect please

So when do they decide who's up who and who's paying the rent, before or after the nuptials?
