Switching to iPhone 16: Dual SIM Compatibility and Night Filming Advice Needed

Featured Replies

Hello, gentlemen!

I’m looking to upgrade from my 5-year-old Android phone to an iPhone. I’m considering treating myself to the new iPhone 16 with 256GB.

However, I need a phone that supports two physical SIM cards—one for my prepaid SIM in Europe and another for my Thai True prepaid SIM card. Does the iPhone 16 support this setup?

If not, is it possible to get a prepaid eSIM from True in Thailand? If so, how does that process work?

Also, would switching to the iPhone be a good choice for me? I often make movies at night and need a phone with an excellent camera and great stabilization. Would the iPhone 16 meet these needs, or should I consider something else?

Thank you in advance for your advice!

Watching some of the scores of reviews on YouTube would help you, apart from the True e-SIM and that could be solved with a call to True's call centre.

No the iPhones in Thailand only support a single physical sim but up to about 16 e-sims.

the only iPhones that support dual physical sims are the Chinese ones.

Virtually all of the Thai providers can transfer a physical sim (pre-paid or post paid) into an e-sim. I can guarantee that AIS will do it. Probably True will also. In Thailand you have to go to the company store to get the sim changed, this is because you MUST have registered the number with your passport or yellow book/pink card
