Byp - Bangkok Young Professional

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have heard of this group called BYP (Bangkok Young Professional) for a while and know that they tend to have events so that various preofeesional people are met to socialise and so on. If you have been there please give me your view so I know if the one tomorrow at the pub Barbican on Silom would be worth going. I don't mean to go there to get a date but simply to get to know good people more or less.

Many thanks

:o Maybe you could investigate the BYPMC ( Bangkok Young Professional Millionares Club )... :D

they are pretty good from what I hear. Never been to one myself, but know those who regularly go.

Timothy, I would certainly encourage you to network through various entities, including BYP. I think we all have a pretty good idea of who you would like to socialize with and BYP is certainly more in line with your lifestyle goals than the scene in Silom. I'm surprised jdinasia hasn't weighed in on this topic because he also has sought out boyfriends who have a professional background. He could probably give you some excellent pointers.

Did anyone go to the Barbican meeting? I heard that it was for marketing folks.

I like the Barbican; quite a few gay people get in there, including gay ajarns from Chula and gay execs from Silom and Suriwong.

Does BYP have a 'gay section'? Or is it very mixed?

Is this the same as the Bangkok YMCA? :o

So Timothy,

How did it go? I am pondering whether to join as a member or not. After checking out their website, it looks like a really useful and resourceful event as well as an opportunity to have fun.

As usual!

Pretty pathetic.
