Was Ex police officer Derek Chauvin wrongly convicted !

I just saw a comment on X  that referenced Derek Chauvin  & George Floyd !

Many seem to think he was innocent!

 

 

If ever was a time to revisit his trial  & commute his sentence it should be during Trump’s

admin.

You know he was. Striking paralells with the Penney case, only now msm is widely considered a joke so their whole white man bad narrative didnt fly and Penney walked. 

If the Floyd case happened today i doubt it would even go to court, and if it did he'd walk.

Im hoping Chauvin can get out asap now common sense is back in town.

There are no striking parallels with the Penney case. 

Chauvin ;

- Intentionally brutalized Floyd and violated the police department's use of force rules.

- Floyd was already immobilized (handcuffed and lying face down)  and detained when  Chauvin assaulted him. Chauvin knelt on Floyd's neck for 9 and 1/2  minutes, while 2 other police officers  knelt on Floyd's back.  3 officers were on a handcuffed and motionless man.

- For his final 2 minutes,  Floyd was already knocked out and in heart failure with no pulse, and yet, Chauvin kept his knee on Floyd's neck.

 

Penny subdued the deceased Neely on his own. Yes, he used a death hold that as a USMC can be argued was known to be deadly, but  the argument was offered that because he was in fear of his life and the circumstances, there was no intent to do permanent harm.

Regardless of Floyd's background and drug habits, once he's handcuffed and in custody, the arresting officers are responsible.

 

Floyd went into cardiac arrest.  Subordinate officers informed Chauvin, but he refused to let them render aid,  sat on him long enough apparently to ensure Floyd stayed dead.

The official autopsy conducted by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner did not mention a tumor such as paraganglioma as a contributing factor in George Floyd’s death.

Agree!Trump could pardon him of the federal charge which would affect the state charge .The sentence was overly

excessive & politically motivated  and there is new evidence that has come since which the SCOTUS didn’t hear.

I hope that anyone harmed by any protests after the Penny verdict sue the snot out of the race baiters calling for vengeance.  That should have happened to the race baiters who fomented the "Summer of Love and mostly peaceful arson and looting", too.

Personally after seeing the video of the Asian cop standing guard in the beginning of the clip I was saying they were thug <deleted>, and totally against the cops, however after seeing the 15 minutes body cam footage that came BEFORE the video every MSM outlet  pushed, it showed a totally different side to the story.

Flloyd was trying to get out of being searched by constantly pleading with the officier he had done nothing wrong, followed by   8+ of him also saying he couldnt breathe, and wanting to get out of the cruiser, the officier was polite and courteous throughout, asking him if he had taken anything, and offering Flloyd to lay down on the floor outside the car. After he is allowed out of the car he is restrained by Chauvin, that is when the video switched to the clip everyone saw worldwide.

Should Flloyd have died, no, should he have told the officier he'd swallowed something, yes, they could have requested a medic... would he be dead, maybe not. 

The body cam footage was not shown by the MSM so they could push the racist narrative, then along came BLM and the 'summer of love'.

Floyd's behavior is irrelevant, his crime, if any, was trivial.

The police don't have the right to kill unarmed suspects.

Gotta remember also, Floyd was one big strong SOB.  He dwarfed all the cops on scene. That, plus his obvious intoxication, made them excessively paranoid.  To me, it looked almost like Chauvin blanked out, like he didn't know what to do after they finally got Floyd in handcuffs and on the ground.  They had tried to load him into a police SUV, but Floyd claimed to be claustrophobic and resisted- strange since Floyd had arrived on the scene in a car. Obviously a BS excuse to avoid being booked or searched.  

 

I always thought a negligent death charge or the like would have been justified, but not murder.

I was on Flloyds side until I saw the bodycam footage, then I saw how much the MSM were lying and covering up the actual truth,  IMO it was all done to show how Racist America is under Trump & maga, and why the riots were allowed to continue for so long. Dirty tricks by the unhinged left.

I do not believe so. 1) He had his knee on Floyd's neck for nine minutes. 2) He had three backup officers. Floyd was phsycially bigger than Chauvin and if he did not have backup then the circumstances could have been different.  But what do I know becasue I was a street cop in LA for only 20 years. Ironically Chauvin had 19 years on the job and was the senior officer on the call with Floyd. I can tell the less experienced offciers were hesitant to tell Chauvin to back off and see if Floyd complies.  Chauvin will be eligible for parole in 2038. He be almost 60 years old

You may be right. I have seen experienced officers "zone" or check out on several high stress calls.
