I have decided I am going to write a book about my life experiences in Thailand.

In this candid and irreverent memoir, Coblin Smith dives headfirst into the neon-lit streets of Pattaya’s notorious Soi 6/1, a world where inhibitions are shed, and curiosity reigns supreme. With humor and a touch of self-deprecation, Smith chronicles his encounters with the ladyboys who make this infamous strip their domain. Blurring the lines between identity, desire, and personal boundaries, Smith explores his own evolving relationship with attraction and sexuality in a setting where taboos are mere suggestions.

Through vivid storytelling, Smith paints a portrait of Pattaya that is equal parts chaotic, alluring, and deeply human. Far from a simple travelogue, this is a tale of self-discovery, cultural immersion, and the unspoken question: where do we draw the line between curiosity and identity? Three a Year Doesn’t Make You Queer is as provocative as it is reflective, offering a glimpse into a world where pleasure and self-acceptance are unexpectedly intertwined.

already a glittering review and the book hasn't even been written yet!

That's 200 more than it probably should have sold. 🤣

at $10 a pop that's a cool 2k.

Now if only he had added those 'lurid' sex scenes...

My friends all bought a copy.

How many do you think you would sell?

It doesn't work that way. Book royalties are usually $1-2.

That was meant to be a synopsis actually or the type of thing you would read on the back cover of the book. Here is another one, mind you I didn't write these, I just put the AI on the right track:

In "Has Anyone Seen My Wallet?: Tales of 100 Tuk-Tuk Rides", Coblin Smith invites readers to join him on a hilariously chaotic adventure through the bustling streets of Thailand. Each tuk-tuk ride brings new surprises—whether it’s dodging traffic, racing through back alleys, or being whisked off to a “special place” the drivers insist he’ll enjoy, like massage parlors offering Thailand’s infamous “soapy massages.”

But the real gamble? Trusting the drivers. Smith quickly learns that while a tuk-tuk ride is cheap, the real cost often comes later—like when his wallet mysteriously vanishes (sometimes more than once). With sharp wit and self-deprecating humor, he recounts his wild attempts to navigate a world where every ride feels like a game of chance, and every driver seems to have a hustle.

Outrageous, eye-opening, and endlessly entertaining, Has Anyone Seen My Wallet? is a love-hate letter to the unpredictable charm of Thailand’s tuk-tuk culture, a place where losing your way—and your wallet—is just part of the ride.

Some of my coffee table books on Thailand have sold thousands and my royalties were in the tens of thousands. Just sayin...

...and that series made that 'bald headed twonk' (as Ricky Gervais refers to him as) a millionaire.

I already am a millionaire but I wouldn't mind another million in the back burner...

You full of it

You forgot to mention his encounter with an enraged taxi driver, after he forgot his phone. Then photographed the number plate.

I actually retired from royalties. Never worked an honest day in my life.

The coffee table books came out of thin air?

Nope, I've always believed that it's better to pay for it than to steal it or get it for free. I've turned down a number of free ones recently for that very reason. You pay to make them go away.

No, they were pretty heavy. You wouldn't want a box of 25 of them falling on top of you.

and why on earth would I post the hundreds of hours of material that I own, that I recorded myself, to a public forum for people to enjoy for absolutely nothing in return except maybe an emoji or two?

Like I said, I may upload the book free, but that will be at my discretion at a later date.

Before you do write your book don't be like Bob and forget to start the first word of

a sentence with a capital letter.

if absolutely necessary due to the supposed unnaceptable content then I will publish from abroad under a pen name.

You have already declare your intention to publish. Given your, umh, career in your present and previous incarnations ( you surely don't imagine that you are fooling anyone do you?) that should delay your arrest by, oh, at most a couple of hours!

Anyway, you fill your boots. I read the other day that you speak Japanese (!) so maybe you could publish it there.

Good luck on the book.  Get writing rather than posting here.    I only read private dancer and lots of blogs and crap on this site.   I kinda don't need to know more about Thailand seedy side.  However I enjoy reading about sexy and sexy things so get with it.

I haven't used AI yet but is that what is making those nice cartoonish book covers?

By the way Colin you do talk like Bob.  Just enjoy your millions but why brag about it.   That was Bob's biggest fault besides  his drunken runs and claims to want to quit drinking.
