A Thai man issued a warning to motorists in Chon Buri after an unknown woman entered his car while he was parked at a red light and urged him to continue driving without providing a clear destination.

The Thai man shared dashcam footage of the woman entering his car with Channel 7. The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday, December 10, at around 11pm on Sai Nueng Road in Chon Buri province.

In the video, the woman was seen running from the footpath and immediately entering the victim’s car. The man was heard asking, “Why did you get into my car?”

The woman responded, “I just want to get in. I just want to go along.”

The man appeared confused and then asked if she ran from any danger but she denied it. He then asked where she wanted to go but she could not provide an answer.

The driver later gave an interview with Channel 7, saying the woman appeared frightened as if she had just escaped from something dangerous. She did not tell him where she wanted to go and kept asking him to continue driving.

The driver stated he was concerned about her but also worried about his own safety. Not wanting to abandon her in case she was in danger, he continued to converse with her until the traffic light turned green and then rushed to a nearby police booth.

According to the driver, the police later informed him that the woman had a mental health illness, adding they would find care for her and contacted her relatives the following morning.

Many Thai netizens speculated whether the car would have automatically locked while driving, though some pointed out that the system depends on the car model. The driver did not clarify why he left his car door unlocked.

Must be a very old car ??

Car and trucks for some years automatically lock the doors when you start off,  unless the driver takes the lock off or the engine is switched off the doors are locked..

So another odd story ?

Yes, that might be a better word for them. Would a car wash help my chances (not washed it in 3 years) to get the same?

I did this years back...     Was waiting for my Wife...

...  Opened the door, was about to get in and saw a horrified look on a poor woman's face - the woman was not my Wife.

I apologies profusely and closed the door... Waited another 30 seconds  and got in my Wife's car as she pulled up at the same spot about 30 seconds later.

Regarding the 'auto-door' locking thing  - there are many different settings, ours unlock when we put the car in park, Just the other day I had to remind my Wife just to leave the car in neutral when stopped at the lights.

Why go looking for conspiracies?

Every car I have driven in the last 10 years unlocks when the car is in park

Lucky she didn't say all the way...

Years ago, when my boy was just a toddler, we caught a bus to Bang Na Central. On the way, a young ish lady was passing out and falling out of her seat. I stopped her falling at one pint and pushed her upright. No problem.

After we got off and walked over the bridge to Central, I noticed she was behind us and smiling at me. She caught up and linked arms with me and also tried grabbing my boy’s hand. Very strange and a little unnerving. She wouldn’t take a hint so I told her my wife was meeting us. She left us then but looked heart broken.

Anyone ready to fall out of their seat now gets ignored!!!

It happened to me once. Stopped around 11pm at night at a junction in the days when there was no central lock on most cars. A huge black guy got it and said there were no buses so could I take him a few miles. Frightened the bejesus out of me but he was polite and did get out later without incident.
