A friendly football match took place at Thephasadin Stadium in Bangkok, featuring teams from the Tourist Police Bureau and diplomatic missions from 15 countries. The event was led by Pol. Lt. Gen. Sakshisira Phueak-um, Commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau, alongside senior officials and officers. The match saw the VIP Tourist Police team face off against a team composed of embassy representatives, led by H.E. Mr. Tumur Amarsanaa, Ambassador of Mongolia to Thailand; H.E. Mr. Arman Issetov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Thailand; and Mr. Jaber Alshehhi, Consul and Head of the Economic Section at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Thailand. Diplomats from other nations also joined the game, creating a lively and vibrant atmosphere. Pol. Lt. Gen. Sakshisira explained that the event aligns with government policy, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, and the Royal Thai Police’s initiative to “Generate Income, Spread Joy, and Ensure Safety.” This friendly match aims to strengthen diplomatic ties between embassies and the Tourist Police Bureau, as well as other related agencies, while fostering collaboration to ensure the safety of tourists during the high season. The football match serves as a key activity to demonstrate the commitment and readiness of the Royal Thai Police, the Tourist Police Bureau, and associated agencies in safeguarding tourists. It also aims to enhance Thailand’s international image and build confidence among visitors.
