I love a good conspiracy.

There is a semantic and conceptual problem in this formulation, which implies there are good or bad conspiracies and that ultimately they have entertainment value, like movies.

There is nothing to love or hate, what matters is the truth.

I can't for the life of me believe that any sane person would actually consider answering this question, and I'm even more baffled that some people have actually commented on it.

I think you misunderstand. "Good" in this case is not expressing entertainment value. Instead, it means value in convincing people to think outside the box and question their assumptions. Flat Earth is a "bad" conspiracy because it is trivially disproven by simple math and logic. It doesn't require you to examine why you believe something is true. If 2+2=4, then Riemann geometry follows and the earth is round. A good conspiracy requires a hidden or complex system and the ability to expose unrecognized biases within your thought processes.

That in turn, can reveal something about the nature of society that you previously failed to consider. Ultimately, that advances the human condition for everyone.
