Having already applied for my retirement visa, it only remains for me to go back for the result and get the passport stamped.

However, I have since broken my leg, so do not want to try going to Immigration in this condition.

I have a medical certificate from the hospital.

Can I have my friend go to Immigration on my behalf to get the passport stamped?

Do we need a power of attorney?

Thanks to all for assistance.

Do you have a Thai speaking Friend? If so why not let him call the Immigration? I don't see a big problem in that somebody else goes to pick up your EoS from Immigration as all is already done.

If you already applied and are just going back with the passport to get the visa or extension inked in ANYONE can do it for you there is no requirement you show up on your own,

Send someone with your passport, the receipt you paid for the visa/extension and the letter from the hospital

Not so sure of the answers so far..... having seen a very sick Farang brought to Immigration in an ambulance and wheeled in on a gurney by a couple of nurses. What is wrong with Immigration that this was necessary?

Likely the webcam photo, that's the only reason I have to show up for 10 seconds each time using agents.

That post you replied to was off topic. (different situation)

You are simply returning your pp for final stamp..

The post from @Tod Daniels above sums up what to do.
