Kudos to the man... he has the right training and mentality.

Meanwhile youths in another area traveled round in a pack assaulting an 80+year old man and slash him with a knife for no good reason.

Well done to Somkiet and the nurse. That is exactly how we should be treating each other, especially in time of a crisis. Kudos for stepping up.

The Italian tourist, now in stable condition, is expected to make a full recovery thanks to the swift

intervention of Somkiat and others.

Yes indeed, but I'm not a doctor and can't understand if his heart have stopped for 15 minutes, can someone explain this to me? Im still suffering from a stroke which happened night time whilst  sleeping, and there was nobody giving me a CPR.

Since CPR was applied, his heart didn't stop for 15 minutes.

I believe it's something like 5+ minutes and if no blood circulation, then chance of survival goes down or have some type of brain damage, do to lack of oxygen.

And a quick Google, before hitting that submit button ...

A stroke is a little different from a heart attack. At night sleeping, you can't complain that there was nobody around.....but you are of course.

Well as far as I know, it's more or less the same. Your brain gets no oxygen in certain parts due to a blockage

of oxygen and you'll destroy this part of the brain.

CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is used to restore blood flow and oxygen to vital organs when a person’s heart stops beating or they stop breathing. It is a life-saving procedure but does not treat the underlying causes. CPR is essential in emergencies like cardiac arrest to keep the organs alive.

Strokes occur due to a blockage or rupture of blood vessels in the brain, causing a lack of blood flow or bleeding. The treatments for stroke focuses on restoring blood flow or controlling bleeding. So unless you have a cardiac arrest or stop breathing when having a stroke, the heart still pumps blood around the body, so CPR is unnecessary.

CPR will not normally get blood to the parts of the brain affected by a stroke, same as the heart can’t, so damage occurs.

That's the advice I gave my mother, as hated my father, (mutual feeling with her & siblings) and didn't want him to be a burden on her, when the eventual oops happened.

"If he ever keels over, just leave him be, go in the other room, have a coffee, and enjoy the thoughts of your future freedom without him."

That's exactly what she did, as he suffered a stroke at night, and called me the next day, bright & early :cheesy:

OK, 8 ish hours later, time to report it.   One of those fake 'surrounded by loving family, as he passed in his sleep' moments :cheesy:
