I'm not left. I'm not right. I oppose H1bs. If you want to bring in exceptional people, fine. But H1Bs are not exceptional. They're ordinary wage slaves who suppress native wages while increasing the demand on housing prices for American citizens. And I think Trump is going 180 on immigration and China. He doesn't need MAGA anymore. He'll never need any voters support again. Now, he can just cozy up to the Kings of Cash, the Tech Oligarchs.

Where under USCIS does it state H1B’s are exceptional?  It doesn’t.  Those are your words.

H1B’s are a needed skill set because the US education system has failed under their predominant liberal leadership.

Less emphasis on math and science and more on woke. drag queens in classrooms, gender reassignment and all the other BS.

American society plays a large part too.  Sports and pop star culture overrides education.

Have you ever those question and answer sessions asking young Americans basic questions at various venues?  Most are dumb as rocks.

Musk?

Reports have raised questions about Elon Musk’s U.S. citizenship. An investigation by The Washington Post suggests that Musk  worked in the U.S. without proper authorization. Legal experts indicate that if Musk misrepresented information during his immigration process, he could face denaturalization and potential criminal charges.

Oh dear!!

You have nothing with out proof.

Do you have his USCIS immigration records?

Indians are NOT needed in the USA, now.

Too many of them.

Culture is garbage.

I want many more Chinese with PhDs.

Chinese are hard-workers.

Also, much more honest.

Remember that Indian who was guiding the scam and pulling the strings behind Elizabeth, on the blood analysis fiasco of a machine?

Better to give visas to Chinese.

More Chinese means more potential spies.

Your most intelligent post so far.

No problem.  H1B visas and their holders are LEGAL non immigrant visas.

It's wild the way some people try to misrepresent things in order to manipulate people.

Very few people have any issue with a skilled person coming to their country, getting a good job and living a respectful and law abiding life.

Who says they are?

It appears to be a new tactic of the left to try to drive a wedge between Trump and Musk, by saying that "Musk is the president".  Presumably hoping that Trump will break off any kind of political relationship they have.  I guess that's a glowing endorsement for Musk.  They're scared of him and the success he might bring to America.

It's very sad to see, but the left really has an "if we can't have her no one can" attitude when it comes to America.  They want Trump to fail, even if it means bad things for the US, and if they can make that happen, they will.

Funnily I do understand the difference between legal and illegal.........but what has the DOGE got to do with either in terms of the administration's policy.

Funnily I do understand the difference between legal and illegal..”

That explains the stupidity of your posts.

Appears the UK has a education problem too.

Sounds like a "birther" conspiracy theory. Were you also concerned about the evidence a certain Hawaiian was actually Kenyan like his brother Malik claimed?

This may be true, one must admit.

However, with closer attention and better vetting, then this risk can be much minimized.

Is this your opinion or proven fact?

So USCIS doesn’t vet the applicants for their degrees?

How would you know this?

As I stated in the post detailing what is purportedly going down:

'This is from my X feed. You will have to judge for yourselves as to the credibility/veracity of this description of what may be going down.'

This is what you have to make a judgement on:

'Okay since the H1B visa and country caps and the tech sector and India an Indians are all a hot topic right now, I would like to address this as someone who has worked behind the scenes in H1B consultancies in the tech sector and explain EXACTLY why I’m against removing country caps,'

Is he an industry insider or is he posting dishonestly with a political agenda or is he someone just making it up to stimulate profitable engagement etc?

Exactly what I thought.

Opinions and scare mongering without facts.

Just another angle for Never Trumpers who are still in mourning.

I really fail to see why you have to be so nasty........I was joking when I asked is it your time of the month?.......but many a true word said in jest.

Why does me understanding the difference between legal and illegal explain the "stupidity of my posts?

Never....as the evidence was there for all to see......Trump childishly kept promulgating the story which made him look even more childlike in the eyes of the World......very sad.

Now they are taking over US too thanks to Donny boy's new "FREE VISAs for WETBACKS" policy run by Indian and Tesla man.

Am I having a nightmare or what's going on?

Why can't the wealthy tech companies invest in US workers with more scholarships, training programs and other support to get US students interested in pursuing a tech career. If the tech industry is allowed to import foreign workers in large numbers, this saves them money which I am sure their lobbyists push hard for.

Why can't there be a compromise - the tech industry can have x number of foreign employees if they invest x amount of dollars in training programs for US citizens.

I used to l live in Microsoft's backyard, Bellevue Washington and I shared an apartment complex with a good number of Microsoft employees. My next door neighbor was an Indian man and from my many conversations with him, it seems that Asian employees are used to long working hours and they are less combative with employers than US citizens.  This makes them easier to manage in many aspects. I work here in Asia and there is more tolerance towards a rigid hierarchy than I ever saw in The States.

Agreed.

"Asian employees are used to long working hours and they are less combative with employers than US citizens. This makes them easier to manage in many aspects. I work here in Asia and there is more tolerance towards a rigid hierarchy than I ever saw in The States."

and that makes them even cheaper and more attractive.

A decent discussion on CNN of all places.  Still, the black anchor woman can’t differentiate between legal and illegal immigration.

Very similar to the leftist posters on the forum.

The dumbing down of American youth by the predominantly liberal education system is one of the primary reasons for the need for skilled, educated tech workers.
