Georgealbert Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Picture from responders. Pol. Lt. Col. Nevin Suntavanik, Deputy Inspector of Huai Yai Police Station, Chonburi, received a report at approximately 19.00 on January 11, of a human skeleton discovered inside a suitcase abandoned on a stretch of road in Moo 6, Huai Yai Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi. The site was about 1 kilometre from the intersection of Highway 331. Authorities, including Pol. Lt. Col. Nevin, Pol. Lt. Col. Pornprom Muangbangyung, Deputy Superintendent, investigators, and rescue volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation, promptly arrived at the scene. The suitcase, a dark red 32-inch case, was found discarded in a roadside drainage ditch overgrown with grass and weeds. Inside, officers discovered a human skeleton believed to have been dead for at least three months. Alongside the remains were a brown T-shirt with a baseball logo on the chest, green underwear, and a white-and-pink striped towel. Mr. Peerapat Lawchud, 25, and Mr. Mongkol Thepwongsa, 30, construction workers who discovered the suitcase, said they were returning to their camp when their rear right tyre burst. As they stopped to change it, Mr. Peerapat noticed the suitcase in the grass and, upon closer inspection, called Mr. Mongkol to help retrieve it. When they opened the case and saw a human skull, they were shocked and immediately called the police. Mr. Yothin Samoomchan, 33, a road maintenance worker, stated that he had seen the suitcase on January 8 while using machinery to level the road. However, he had not thought much of it until hearing the news about the skeleton. He provided his account to police as part of the investigation. Pol. Lt. Col. Nevin confirmed that the skeleton would be sent to the Forensic Institute at the Police General Hospital for examination to determine its identity and to try to determine the cause of death. Pol. Lt. Col. Pornprom noted that no traces of blood or bodily fluids were found on the suitcase, raising suspicions that the dry skeleton may have been deliberately placed in the case and abandoned. Authorities are working to unravel the mystery of the skeleton’s origin and circumstances of death. The investigation is ongoing. -- 2025-01-12
steven100 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago oh dear Georgealbert, this is a real mystery for sure, someone was murdered and chopped up for whatever reason, usually either money, drugs or jealousy. They will have to view 3 month old CCTV footage from around the area to identify the killer.
jacko45k Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago We have had a a few cases of bodies in suitcases being dragged out of condos and hotels over the years. Is this one murderer who has so far gotten away with it? 1
