Interesting that my "Under Consideration" period this marriage extension is two months.  Any other of you married dudes out there ever have this happen?
Just curious.

Lamphun

Can't help. Haven't read about your situation.

30 days is common.

What does Lamphun immigration have to say on this situation.

What date is on the return to immigration for final stamp?

Same for me in Udon, that's why I always went the Savannaketh route.
I have been able to shorten this period to 48 hours once, when it was necessary. 10k THB consultancy fee.

Savannakhet.

And now with eVisa only option in Laos?

The OP is asking about extensions.

Looks like right now, I will do "Extension of Stay" again -- which is a pain. I won't have much time this year for chartering new teritory, but next year I may opt for LTR/Digital Nomad. (I travel in/out very frequently.)

All good however of little help to OP.

If over 50 he could consider change to extensions based on retirement.

Many years ago I had four consecutive 'Under Consideration, come back next month'.

And this was before Khon Kaen had its own office and I had to go all the way to Nong Khai, which was not the friendliest of offices to start with.

I understand that some offices date the 30 day period from date of application and others from date of expiry of old extension, so if Appling 30 days early and the office dating the under consideration period for date of expiry. it could be a 2 month period.

Like I said, the return date is a full two months from the date of extension. I asked but didn't get an answer.
This is no big deal other I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen too.  Or maybe BKK immigration was getting backlogged and is pushing out "under consideration" periods. That crossed my mind which is why I'm asking.

I came here on a business visa.  The paperwork for that was a PITA.
I've been doing marriage extensions since 2011.  Some people may consider it a hassle but I pretty much have it down to an art.  A couple of hours of time the day prior to pull the paperwork together and a run to the bank the day of (ya'll do that on a retirement extension too), and I only need three months of statements, and I have no other holds on my bank funds unlike retirees. Make an appointment and Somchai's Your Uncle.  Usually in and out in an hour.  And up to now, come back in 30 days to collect my stamp.  This time around, come back in 60 days to collect the stamp.
Just wondering if anyone else had experienced this too.  That's the only question I had.

That's what I get at Chaiyaphum.....always apply thirty days before, but collect visa extension 30 days from the old expiry date....so two months in effect.

Retirement extension is same day. Why is it so different for marriage?
