An incident unfolded on January 24, when a woman fatally shot her husband after enduring repeated instances of domestic abuse. The altercation occurred inside their vehicle as the couple was travelling back to Khura Buri district.

Reports indicate that the husband, who had a history of physical violence, allegedly began choking his wife during a heated argument while driving. In a desperate act of self-defence, the wife retrieved a firearm and discharged four rounds, killing him instantly. The car subsequently veered off the road, crashing into a tree near the Phu Khao Ya curve, close to the prominent "Prince Crab" statue in Ranong province.

The wife remained at the scene and surrendered herself to local police officers upon their arrival. Both individuals were identified as residents of the Ban Tiam area in Khura Buri district.

Rescue personnel from the Ranong Relief Foundation transported the deceased's body to Ranong Hospital for a post- mortem examination.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of domestic violence and its impact on families and communities.

The authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident and have not disclosed what legal charges will be issued.

A pardon for what?  She hasn't committed any crime.  She was being choked, so she stopped her attacker from potentially killing her.  🤷‍♂️

Of course I agree with you, but...  There are things called preemptive pardons, a certain ex US President recently used them.  In this case?  The reason I agree with the person who suggested a pardon is the amount of time it could take to clear her own name; she might end up even going through a lengthy court case with the risk of her being found guilty for reasons that would only be conjecture.  So?  I agree she should get a pardon, a preemptive one, so that she can get on with her life ASAP without the stress of a drawn out investigation and possible court case.

Here's but one example from the USA - https://www.kansascity.com/news/local/article261741817.html - about 7 months of stress but with a happy ending for her.

Here's something from Oz on how difficult it is for women to use self defence as a, well, defence - https://www.anrows.org.au/publication/women-who-kill-abusive-partners-understandings-of-intimate-partner-violence-in-the-context-of-self-defence-key-findings-and-future-directions/

But like I said, I agree with your point.

The bast*rd simply got what he deserved.

His repeat punches  on own wife late came back as the red hot bullets.

Perfect example of the old saying: Anything goes around, comes around...

A subtitles came up to my mind:

Demise of the Bluebeard.

In a desperate act of self-defence, the wife retrieved a firearm and discharged four rounds...

--------------------------------------

Did that violent man hit his wife 4 times in succession?

So she returned  4 shots.

If so, makes a perfect sense, to get even...

The only thing I don't understand in this story is, how could the husband was choking her while he was driving? 🤔🤔
