Is this just me or everyone? My bags are alway priority baggage either business class or using gold card priviledges. If I fly direct to BKK and terminate my bags are always in the first bunch, as they should be, however if I transit and fly on to anywhere (which is pretty normal as I live in Vientiane) they always end up in nearly the last bunch of bags. This is flying with Thai from start to finish - no change of carrier nothing.

It doesn't half piss me off! :o

Must just be you my friend. The wife and I fly in to BKK business and our bags are normally the first to come off. We have never had to wait. Are you sure they are putting the priority tags on at check in? The missus always makes sure they go on. :o

You misunderstood . . . I don't have any problems if my flight terminates at BKK just if I transit. I alway make sure they put the priority tags on without fail - just to make sure they have a chance to come out first!!

It's particularly annoying when you transit BKK then sit on a long-haul in Business - you get fast tracked through everything then because you get to the belt early you end up waiting for an eternity for the bag to appear . .. . and end up long taxi queues etc

if you have a long stopover, theres a chance that your priority bags are the 1st to be loaded on the ongoing flight - so the last to come-off... :o

Erm doesn't this kind of negate a use the priority baggage system which is a rather major flaw . . . doncha think!

They must have some kind of holding for Priority luggage for a flight and I'd expect my bags would go into that lot rather than just slung in with the rest.

Priority handling for bags is best point to point as you experienced.

when a transit is involved it first goes to transit poolthen to your next flight and isnot pulled out with the priority of that flight.

I never have that problem whne transit in Singapore but BKKis another story unless you fly First with Thai then they have a special F container

exactly, with transit luggage - making the connection is more important than priority off-loading, rather have your bag come out late than not at all.... :o
