Pattaya’s famous nightlife is under scrutiny as Tourist Police and Chon Buri Immigration officers launched surprise raids on entertainment venues on February 3. The operation, following the 5 Safe policy, sought to combat drugs, weapons, human trafficking, and illegal workers, ensuring safety for all.

Targeting the popular spots along Pattaya Third Road, where many foreign tourists gather, police first stopped at World House Club. Only a few patrons were present, and after checking IDs and conducting drug tests, no illegal activities were found.

In stark contrast, Space Club was bustling. Police stopped the music, switched on the lights, and checked documents while conducting random drug screenings, but once again, no violations were detected.

These inspections highlight Pattaya police’s commitment to maintaining order and safety in the city's nightlife. Though this raid led to no arrests, police promise ongoing crackdowns, signaling zero tolerance for illegal activity.

Tourists and clubgoers are advised to expect more late-night checks as officials strive to keep this vibrant party hub of Thailand safe and free from scandals.

Always suggests they got a call and someone got the money!

Hard to believe that two 'random' swoops turned up no offenders!  Forewarned is fore-armed.

I only count four.  Is this policy an off-shoot of the Zero Safe plan on the roads where RTP target no laws broken until AFTER an accident?

The north end of Third road used to be all Thai places but now I believe they get quite a few Chinese and possibly Koreans especially as they have been "investing" in some of the newer places. I am guessing Space Club is one such.
